I bought the GD series b/c they were diecast and poseable = I really like them . Then the Movie Realization Version (mostly plasic w/metal feet) which was a let down for lack of poseability. The 1/6th scale are cool for size but , I'm seeing its not for me. I'm really glad I ordered this version its looks so good.
I finally got around to getting some handling time in with my new Ultra Act Ultraman figure. He's really nice too. I do recommend him to all Toku fans.
I must say though that my piece had a few QC issues, mainly in the joint department. In particular, the joint in the waist area. It tends to be very loose and actually separates with very little effort. Also, the right arm is not sturdy on mine and actually falls off when I pose it from time to time. So, I was kinda salty about that. He also tends to have some balance issues. He has a bulky upper body and some narrow feet, so he can fall kind of easily if you don't have the positioning just right. That means you might wanna purchase one of Bandai's handy little SHF stands. Overall, I really like this figure and am looking forward to seeing the rest of the figures in this toy line.
i though this was a pretty good review Mine are stuck in Customs ; I think . I wish they'd arrive already .
I'm gonna thicken the waist and arm - ball joints
Yeah, very accurate review. I can attest to the loose waist and arm/shoulder area. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. Also noticed his box was kinda beat up a bit worse than mine. Mine had some definite C-6/7 nicks, dings and edge-wear. Minor MINOR complaints though. Your gonna love it, ancer!
Also, thanks for introducing me to CSToys international. Mr S and that Pack and ship show is addictive! Already purchased some stuff from him last week!
Interesting to hear so many reports of battered boxes because mine was smashed too. Was there a special notice on this release that said, "Handle poorly"? The figure itself is sub-par and even the box gets beaten. Ultraman deserves better than this! -_-
I'm happy to hear some of you are receiving your Ultraman Act figures, and I congratulate you all. But, damn, better handling of the shipment should be a priority for these toys so their boxes and contents don't get damaged.
