Eyeone's Jumbo Collection « Thread Started on Oct 19, 2011, 1:48am »
I'm a recent member of this board (although I lurked for a long time) and thought I'd share my Jumbo Machinder collection and express my appreciation for Robot Japan. I've learned much on here about these addictive toys. Thanks to some repro parts from Bourno, a few great finds via DiceOne, and repro stickers from Kitsir, I think my collection is shaping up nicely so far... Thanks Robot Japan!

I guess I can say I started collecting since I was a little kid. This picture of my Grandmother, my Jugarama Aquaman (aka Kamen Rider X), and me was taken when I was about 4 years old. The Jumbo got lost in time, but I found this picture a few years back and it piqued my curiosity to try to track down Aquaman. After much internet searching, I found NekroDave's review on Collection DX and sent him an email. He kindly gave me some pointers and I started the hunt for the toy. After many attempts, I found one last year. I had gotten a few of the Mattel Shogun Warriors, but finding Aquaman set me on the path of no return!

Thanks MikeDeco! I'm a big fan of your Mini Jumbo Villains, amazing work!
And Bourno, thanks again, your repro work is top-notch. I have a couple of photos from my childhood I'll post soon. It seems that Kamen Rider X and I were inseparable.
Willohio, I hope to soon be needing one of your sticker sheets The Getter set is coming together, although I'm pretty much resigned to never having the Getter 3. I am trying to find a Getter Liger though, it would make my day!
And as for Bourno coming for Combattler, see the picture below. Combattler is ready to defend himself with his weapon of choice: a Pilot SC-6600 marker!

KingBoyD, I'm amazed that what amused me as a kid still interests me to this day! Combattra was one of my faves from the Marvel comic books (which I'm sure I still have in a box somewhere!)
Bourno, some years back the city of L.A. actually tried smearing petroleum jelly on some "problem" freeway walls as an anti-graffiti measure! It didn't quite work as they planned and made for some very amused graffiti writers. Ironically, some graffiti writers tried the same thing to protect their own work from getting covered by others!
As for the Hello Kitty stuff, my GF might object to its disappearance (It's not mine, I swear!)

...and just in case Combattra and Hello Kitty need back-up, here is Goldorak (who is slowly becoming a Grendizer ) with his new fist and scythes. Big props to Bourno for the great repro work!
