Revisiting Collection Photos « Thread Started on May 22, 2012, 4:09am »
Hey fellow collectors,
After reading the JM forum on a daily basis, I continually see the same contributors day after day, post after post. A lot of good points are made and I learn a lot from each member. I am always curious what their Jumbo collection looks like though.
Aside from MikeDeco and Eyeone, I really don't see anyone else's collection as a whole. I might see a picture of a new acquisition, but group shots as a whole seem to be few and far between. I know that another forum labeled 'Toy Vault Gallery' exists to serve this purpose, however I don't want to sift through various Transformers, SOC's or other die-cast collections before coming across a Jumbo Collection.
Let's face it, we all enjoy discussing this wonderful obsession of ours, however looking at and admiring others' Jumbos is second to none.
Can we start a post where we all post at least one photo of our collection or several if one doesn't work. This way, we can not only identify the common contributor by screen name, but by Jumbo assortment.
I just figure it would be nice to use the Jumbo Machinder category as the central repository for all Jumbo collection related photos. I'm curious to see how others normally store their jumbos. Not so much posing them for pictures, but how they are displayed in your home on a normal, every day basis.

I don't have a display wall made yet. Once I get a couple of the boys put back together, I will see about getting a group shot taken this weekend with them all. I have several multiples of the Mattel ones which will make my collection look pretty good for numbers
Right now, they are clustered all together. And I have a few hiding out in the shop waiting to either be put back together, fixed up more, or just cannibalized.

Nice Bourno! I can't wait to see your collection....Just to clarify, the photos don't need to be in fancy cases or shelves, just a photo or two of the group collectively. This way, we could all see what each other has and might even be able to negotiate some trades amongst forum members.

I don't have more than a handful of jUmbos, but DO need to post some collection shots in the "Toy Vault" Gallery section.
Just checking the obvious, but have you gone thru many back pages of the Gallery section? Some great shelves to oogle over. This is the designated collection shots section but gets overlooked by many who never venture out of small sub-sections of this forum http://www.robotjapan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=GenGallery

I definitely have checked out the Toy Vault Gallery and yes there are many stupendous collections. I have noticed that Jumbo Machinder collections are under represented in that forum and with new members always coming aboard, this would be a great alternative for posting Jumbos only. I appreciate all forms of toy collecting, but I would like to see only Machinders posted here versus a liberal scattering of all types of robots.

If anything, I need to get the guys cleaned up and Will's stickers on several of them. Seems like I do a better job at fixing up other guy's jumbos for repro parts and such and not my own, LOL. I need to take care of that this Summer.

I love it!! Your collection is huge! The top row looks awesome; Danguard, Combattra & Popy Grendizer is a thing of pure beauty. This is what I'm talking about....I never knew your collection was this massive....It's nice to see other collections....Do you plan on putting repro stickers on your Voltron? High Dream Grendizer is gorgeous as well....I have the Daitetsujin 17 Taiwanese version also. I'm seriously considering buying a set of Popy D-17 decals and outfitting my guy with them. Thanks for sharing your collection

@bourno: I am looking for some spare parts too. If you have "leftovers" after your "robbery", I can purchase some from you I am looking for the voltron red wings, if you have some to spare

@Devoidofemotions; I justed picked up a Popy Tetsujin 28 JM from YJ. This will be the newest addition to my collection. He is quite beat but I've already contacted Kitsir and will be sending the T-28 directly to him once he arrives at my house.
As soon as Kitsir sends him back to me, I will upload photos. In the interim, I will post another picture soon of my current collection.

Hey DOE,
T-28 is infact missing his mohawk. The price was $27500yen, plus the price for shipping & proxy service fees. Kitsir has responded to me recently. He is busy, give him a few days and I'm sure you'll hear back from him. He has always been very responsive to my requests, even if it takes him a few days.
