First off, when you arrive, get a map of Hong Kong from either the airport or hotel. CTMA - Mong Kok, take exit E2 from the MTR and ask around a few shops to know where it is. In's Point - Also in Mong Kok, essentially it's on Nathan Road, about a block away from where CTMA is But if you're in a hurry (i.e. can only go to one location): Wanchai - try to locate Dong Fong 188 building, it mostly has video game shops but there are one or two stores that are very, very well stocked on SOCs. They sell the newer ones cheap but the older ones are close to Ebay prices but this is the place to go if you're in a rush. Take note this will talk a lot of walking to get to when you exit the MTR (ask the information desk at the MTR station on how to get to Dong Fong 188. You WILL NEEED THE MAP HERE to help) Here's an old guide I made a few years back on another forum but a few others have contributed more detailed info. Try reading the whole thread. www.afhub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166Gold

Hi,
I went to HK last July. I went to Sino, CTMA, In's point, Richmond. Sino is good for new things. For SOC, I bought Gun-buster at In's point with reasonable price. For Sino+CTMA, I think, old SOCs are not good places to seek. It's important that you must have a map; otherwise, you may lose the way. Also you may feel fun to look for the entrances of the building. Most shops open 3pm or later. Pls. also take an umbrella + cash to enjoy your shopping+negotiation. Credit card is accepted in a few shops, but you may be charged more for the fee.

If you are planning to go to In's point, better pay a visit after 6:00 pm. Cuz most of the stores are not open till 4:00 pm.

There's a street in Wanchai that is literally called Toy Street (nickname). If you take the MTR to Wanchai, just follow the signs for Toy Street. I don't remember the actual name of the street, but I'm 100% sure it says Toy Street in brackets beside the actual name.

If you go to toy street make sure you check out 188. It's not far and there's a lot there. I can't really provide directions but it should be a few blocks to the left of toy street when you exit the MTR. (the closest exit to toy street that is)
On Gold's map it's about where Bank of East Asia is on Wanchai road.
There is a lot in Mong Kok though. If I remember correctly Inn's Point is more than a block away from CTMA...more like four or so.
