Presenting: NTV Full Metal Fighter: Red Baron. You all might be familiar with a Red Baron Super Robot starting with the show from the 70's going through different toylines by Bandai, however today we present you the Red Baron from the animated series aired originally in NTV (Japanese tv) from 1994 - 1995. Honestly I didn't like the show "that much" back in the early nineties when I watched it on Locomotion and on channel 5 (Mexico) on cable tv, however I always loved the design of the robot. Let's get our hands now (finally) on the model. Starting with the box, it looks quite tiny however if you like cello windows and opening flaps like most old school packages, you'll surely like this one. If you open the front flap which opens upwards, you can see the Red Baron resting in his styrofoam tray (to the left) the schematics of the robot to the right (pretty cool!). Inside the box, we find the Red Baron as shown in the cello window, a bunch of sprues with accessories and stickers. Red Baron is fully articulated, however don't expect SOC joints, honestly the joints on the knees and arms remind me of the GIJoes I collected back in the 80's. Shoulders, arms, forearms, feet and legs can be turned 360 degrees. I have to say that the feet have rather a quite interesting engineering The hands are not removable / interchangeable, however they can open and close, yes, that's right, similar to the CM's Corp. Brave Gokin 17: Gakeen. On the chest we find that the front panel is actually some sort of hatch that opens and shows the inside of the machine I remember that on the anime the pilot use to get in through the mouth of the Red Baron, I haven't figure so far what the hatch on the chest is for (I can't say that it looks much like a cockpit). Overall, Red Baron is quite pose able if you ignore the fact that the head doesn't bend back and forth and can barely turn sideways. Overall even tough Red Baron is roughly 6" high, is quite hefty, fully detailed and the die cast has some sort of oldie look that reminds you of die cast toys from your childhood. For size reference here he stands next to another paladin of street fights: Tetsujin 28 (SOC GX-44). Here I leave you some cool poses, hope you particularly enjoy the one on which he's doing push-ups, after all a gladiator that doesn't train is not fit for a fight. I hope that you don't get disappointed by the fact that I'm not using the accessories and to just have them shown on the sprues, but honestly I believe that Red Baron looks much better and superior without the accessories.

He looks SchwEEt! I never watched the classic live series nor the '90s anime version series, so I'll have to shop eBay to find those dvd sets. If I like Mach Baron, then Red Baron oughtta win me over as well. Great review, thanks for sharing! zozo-Mag

Good review, the only thing I would add would be some more background info on the character and some more hard stats on the figure itself like height and stuff but other then that great review.
