I don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem...
I've had my Neo Jumbo Mazinger for a few weeks now, and I decided to display him with one articulated fist and one shooting fist. After two days of displaying him, I was showing him to a friend and shot Mazinger's fist off. After that, I couldn't get it to stay back on. The mechanism just wouldn't "catch".
So, I just swapped out the one firing mechanism for the other and the fist seemed to stay in again.
Well, last night I come home to find that Mazinger had fired his first on his own while I was gone. I put it back in and it seems to stay in place. I wake up in the morning, and it had fired again... I try to put the fist back on, but, just like the first firing mechanism, this one won't "catch" again either.
It seems that they didn't properly construct this feature. The spring needed to fire the heavy fist is so strong that it eventually fires on it's own and the "catch" is so weak that it won't stay in place.
I'm bummed about this because I really wanted to display him with one firing fist just for nostalgia's sake-- plus, for what they charged for this Jumbo, it would have been nice to have at least ONE properly working firing mechanism! (And, of course a Koji would have been nice, too.)
Anyone else have this problem?

Like I mentioned previously in other threads (and forums), this Neo Jumbo is not worth the amount of money Bandai is asking for. $150 or less would've been more reasonable taking into consideration what the product turned out to be... }\

Ive had mine for about 4 weeks too but Ive only used the rocket punch a few times. I wouldn't really recommend displaying him with the rocket punch fists because your going to wear out the spring tension as time goes by. As sucky as this may sound but I don't think Bandai anticipated for the collectors to use the rocket punch feature more than a handful of times, Thats why they most likey included a second set of fists. I personally love the figure and Although some may think its not worth the money, I do. I hope Bandai does a whole series of new jumbos like this and I look forward to collecting them all As for the problems you are having, im not sure who you purchased yours from but I would email them and tell them your problem and see if they will exchange the rocket punch spring loaders for you. If they do, I would recommend that you display Mazinger with just the articulating fists and only use the rocket punch feature when necessary. I know that sounds a bit unfair considering you paid for that feature but its a small price to pay for this amazing addition to our jumbo collection. Good luck !!

Just got mine and after messing around with it I have to agree that this really wasn't meant to be kept in Rocket Punch Ready Mode . The springs are tight and I can absolutely see the catch releasing after a while. I love this Figure though its great

Well, I'm not trying to make fun of your situation, I'm only injecting some humor into the scenario, if I may, so here goes: Three possibilities... 1. While you were out, someone may have tried to break in-- ShinMaz was on guard duty, he saw the intruder, and knocked his azz cold flat-da-fck-out with da RocketPunch. The rest of your collection figures all got together and dragged the body away to get rid of the evidence. 2. While you were asleep, ShinMaz was upset because he stopped an intruder and didn't get any Thanks for it... so, he tried to knock You out with da RocketPunch, but missed. He couldn't recall his fist back in time before you woke up. 3. There's a Poltergeist in yer houseplayin with your toys. Call the Preacher, and Get out! ;D zozo-magengar I don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem... Also I was thinking that with Maz as the new kid on the block is he gonna get picked on by the other bots or is he gonna have to make an example out of one of them. What I would like to do is have a picture of Maz Stomping thru a city and having the smaller bots running away from him like a Godzilla movie

Now THAT would make a nice pictorial storyboard for posting in the "Toys In Action" gallery thread! ;D zozo-magengar I think I can use him as body guard . Yes, I have now displayed him with both articulated arms. He actually looks better! Oh-- and I forgot to mention that-- for some reason-- if I left the arms out of the launcher for a while, they would suddenly work fine again. But yes, it seems for the best not to display him long-term with the rocket punch arm. Or, it could just all be those pesky poltergeists!

Too bad the plastic isn't strong enough to hold heavy-duty industrial-strength springs: Then you could launch the Rocket-Punch across East L.A. and knock somebody flat-da-fck-out in Chinatown! ;D
