Awesome, thanks for the pics, both swords look great but I must make one of them fit to scale for my Voltron jumbo's hand. The larger one looks perfect.
I don't have any swords, but I'll try carving the detail into a bed of clay and cast a resin "half" sword into the clay, then sand the resin surface smooth and use the casting as a template to make a real Voltron sword.
I'm new to this board , although I have been visiting it for quite some time , I have kept myself in the sidelines until today , I have purchase a LJN TOYS MOTORIZED VOLTRON ,From EvilBay That need a lot of love and care .
I`m wondering if any you guys can point me in the right direction to restore this bad boy , I need some Custom Stickers and Sword , I can make payment right away via Paypal. Thanks
Remember these three names; Bourno, WillOhio & Kitsir........They are the Jumbo Whisperers and can supply you with all the repro parts your polyethylene heart desires. Good luck!
I also have the LJN Voltron jumbo also, mine has some stickers applied, motorized base, the box, instructions, correct sword and the remaining semi used sticker sheet.
It was nearly never used, so my stickers are bright but some glue has weakened and a couple of stickers have wrinkled over time.
I have the second version with the non removable wings. The first version had open ended wing plugs so over time with use they would fall off.
Everyone should get this as really great and still affordable to a degree. You have to make sure there is no corrosion in the control box battery compartment because the contacts are fragile. One of mine broke from age. The break is clean so it will work by touch or I could solder it back when I have time.
The toy cannot be stored in the box with the base on and I prefer it without the base. Even though the feet are not weighted it stands fine on its own even when holding the sword.
I just picked one up and was wondering if anyone makes reproduction hands for Voltron? Mine is missing the white claws on both left and right sides. I know stickers are made and swords but what about the white hands/claws? Thanks in advance
Holy crap Ginrai did I sell you that one? Did you buy it on Ebay? It almost looks like the one I sold about 8 months or so ago. It was near-mint when shipped and on the customers receipt of the item, the box had been damaged in the corner, and yours looks damaged in the same place. If so, small world. Haha. If not, wow, it looks so close to the one I sold. I felt super bad for the customer that it got damaged. Luckily we worked it out and I refunded a little money for the damage. Nice Jumbo.

Nope! Thanks for the compliments though. It's pretty nice, stickers aren't perfect but overall the toy really never got played with so the figure itself is very smooth and shiny. I purchased it locally from the original owner when I bought his large G1 transformer collection, which all but two of his toys went into my collection permanently.
I agree. And, you'll find them as members here at RJ working here in this thread section. You can't go wrong with these three Bros.
This Voltron jumbo is indeed a beautiful classic specimen of its kind and era. I think EVERYONE here at RJ ought to own this jumbo.
I got mine (without the base and accessories, and missing the bottom jaws from the hands) and I'll soon start working on it to "restore" it as soon as I can make time for it. I wanna go buckwild on all the detail with my Voltron jumbo.

Hi guys,
I know this isn't the proper forum, but I'm looking to sell my LJN Voltron. I posted it in the for sale section but I wanted to make sure that true Jumbo Machinder collectors were made aware. I just bought it and put reproduction claws on it from Bourno. The wings are still on and in perfect shape (version 2). A lot, but not all, of the stickers need replacing. I honestly am not impressed with this JM and don't feel like putting on new stickers and finding springs for the claws.
I'm looking for $100, paypal only unless you live near Boston and can do local pick up. Thanks

I did a search a couple of times at the sales section looking for JMs...but it seems that section either is quite dead on JMs..or no one is selling thru the sales section at all except our JM whisperer kitsir lol! I think posting it under the JMs section might engage more JM collectors than at the sales section...it tends to get lost in all those chogokin threads..
Listing a JM for sale in the regular Sales section is like placing a slice of flour-less Chocolate Cake on top of quicksand hoping it Doesn't sink in.
It seems like Jumbo Machinders don't get much attention here at RJ unless you're seriously into collecting them... and that is a small clique in this huge forum, so to speak.
And, out of that small clique is a sub-culture of JM hobbyists who are into restoring/modifying Jumbos... that aspect of the hobby doesn't get much attention unless you're referred here by someone who is familiar with this.
Oh well, hey, just keep the JM banner high, wave it proud, and more visitors will come. Remember, there are also JM collectors outside of RJ who haven't heard of us (RJ in general) unless they're guided to shore by this lighthouse. Let's keep that lantern LIT y'all!
