Anyone pick this one up yet? I was pretty set on letting this one pass, but I guess it was released just recently, and from the few pictures I saw of it at Angolz, it looks pretty sweet. They even have Spike in sitting in the cockpit! Just wondering if anybody had an early review or more pics, cuz I'm really rethinking this one. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so I picked this up from the post office today. First impressions. It is light on the die-cast. The cannon, bottom of the cockpit and a connection between the cockpit and engine are pretty much it. There is also some in the hinges in the wings. I compared it to my model of the swordfish and low and behold they are the same . Now although it is light on die-cast content, it is really nicely finished and well painted. The wings fold up, landing gear in the wings deploy, cockpit opens to release the pilot pod and the air brakes fold. Very simple but effective. I think it is too expensive for what it is and I would look for a discount. I bought mine from AmiAmi at 25% off thank goodness. I have always wanted a quality Swordfish model and this does the job. Only thing that would have made this better would have been the inclusion of more die-cast parts. I guess I have been spoiled by the Hover Pilders. I recommend it, but only to fans of the show and/or the design. Cheers! Sorry, I have no photos.

Thanks for the review. I guess we shouldn't be surprised so much by lack of die-cast from Bandai anymore (seems like most of the time we're disappointed.) I'm definitely a fan of the show & design, but I'll wait for a price cut somewhere.
On the bright side, at least the SOP line is still alive. Now where is our Andromeda, Bandai?

I got it for Xmas, it's pretty nice. About the size of GX-04 Grendizer UFO roughly. Maybe a little larger.

What? It's that small... It's beyond the disc size of Grendizer's, right?

Just got my Swordfish for the birthday. I was going to not have an SOC for my bday/10th year of collecting. All of that has changed... So glad that the tradition has not been broken.
