Did the SRX team that was shown ages ago ever reaper in any other SRC Bandai booth?

Last couple of years have had a big number of MIA Bandai projects... I still yearn for that Bandai/SHE Escaflowne collaboration

True, and I blame the Japanese "Want" polls for it! }|

I must admit I still do not understand how Bandai decides what to sell. Why show prototypes you do not sell?

They make prototypes then gauge fan interest at shows, online forums, Facebook, stuff like that. If they don't get enough positive feedback they won't make it. They primarily focus on the Japanese and Asian wants but will also listen to North American fans if it falls inline with their plans. Unfortunately it takes more then a handful of fans here to get them to make a certain figure when fans in Japan and Asia tell them they want something else.

So, with that knowledge, we can surmise that the Japanese and Asian markets were not interested in: Fighbird Big O Giant Robo T28FX Gekitouja DaiBouken Ryuseioh Dygenguar Außenseiter Battle Fever Robo Sun Vulcan Real Personal Trooper Type 1 R-1, R-2, R-3 Cybaster
That is both interesting and sucktacular at the same time

I'm sure there was fans for a lot of those robots but probably not enough to justify making them, Cybuster was made as a KA. figure, Dygenguar, Ausseniter, Battle Fever, were already made as SOC's while Sun Vulcan is pretty old that most fans don't even know who it is. Still I'm not saying they won't make any or all of these it's just right now it seems Bandai product lineup seems to be to kick out the Go Nagai stuff people have been wanting for years, finish off the GGG stuff and throw in a Brave or two to keep that franchise going. I think the Sentai stuff is probably done, while the SRW stuff may see a resurgence once the dvd and new games come out. The others are iffy, typically we get 10-12 regular release SRC's a year not counting the the web exclusive stuff. Once you involve franchises like the GGG, that could possibly eat up your line for a year if a lot of the stuff wasn't web exclusives or two packs then also trying to fit in licenses you just got while trying to finish off old licenses a lot of stuff either get's cut or pushed back. I think once the GGG stuff is done it will free up a lot of spots for other licenses unless they jump back in with another license with numerous robots like Evangelion or something.

I am fine with them pumping out the Go Nagai stuff as I love it. I really want them to put out some more Sentai though so I really hope that is not done. Will be interesting to see what they show at SDCC this year.
As for the number of figures a year I have noticed that too. I have often been surprised that they keep it to that number but pump out so many Robot Spirits.
The idea of SRC Evangelion gives me hives

I don't know what Japanese bros want but, COME ON! I just can't believe there's little market in Japan for Battle Fever, Big-O, Giant Robo, and Sun Vulcan.... That's just insane and completely sad...to me anyway
Come On Japanese Bros! If Bandai can make Armor Core and God Raideen, why can't Bandai make Battle Fever and Sun Vulcan? I wish HLPro can take up the task then. Hand over the license to them! ARGG Bandai you BIG OLD TEASE!!!!
OK, now I'm just getting mad and ranting....I better stop before I take it out on poor innocent bro.

I can happily do without the Sentai, Armored Core and the likes Real Mechas, and of course, Evangelion being made into SRCs. Start cranking out Super Robots in the Super Robot line Bandai! }D

There're going to be SRC Evos...I would bet on that. I'm just surprised that there aren't any yet. I'll prob pick up the red and couple of the white Mass Production ones.
I'm sure Bandai's banking on people like me...

I consider Sentai to be Super Robots too. Why? Because they yell out their attacks in Super Sentai just like they do other Super Robots. Voltron/Golion is essentially a Super Sentai I agree though. No more Real Mecha and gods no to the Eva's. Seriously, just vomited in my mouth typing that.

They scream (and whine) a lot, but I don't remember anyone yelling out attack names in the series or the movies. In Super Robot Wars, maybe... I haven't played one with EVAs in it in a while.

Well. We can disagree about Super Sentai (note the Super in the name) belonging in the line. But we totally agree that Evangelion can stay in Robot Spirits!

I see EVA's a lot like SR like Raideen. Raideen had some form of rudimentary sentience in that it sensed danger and awoke from it's pyramid and it calls to Akira and they join in a more organic way then say Mazinger or the Getters with a actual cockpit and such, we have also had SR's that refused to be controlled . Of course EVA went way further with the sentience and the whole organic thing but the original Jeeg was a cyborg to with Hiroshi himself turning into Jeegs head. So technically the EVA's aren't breaking any new ground but they are taking old ideas and cranking them up to 100%. But the EVA's are really a crossover between your traditional SR, Real Mechs, and "Magical" robots so their hard to categorize. I will say that despite all the human drama the EVA fights are some of the best not just because of the choreography or inventiveness but because your never sure of the outcome, it's one of the few robot shows where there's just a good chance that the "hero" robot get's beat as it has to win.
