More like bad news to anyone who just bought one on the secondhand market prices!
But damn, September? Usually we find out about this stuff in advance...well, more advanced than this. With proper announcements. This comes off a bit dodgy so I ain't getting my hopes up.

sh*t , I just paid for one! The ongoing price ! But I am super happy with it and I got it from a close friend who made me a relatively good price! Don't be disappointed, you got a quality piece at a great price and helped out a member. Always remember also, that while there are upgrades or improvements that can be made on a reissue, there is always a small possibility of QC or mold issues. But cross your fingers, as this is great news for a lot of people.

But cross your fingers, as this is great news for a lot of people. You are absolutely right! I kept that in mind when I decided to get these sweeties of him! First of all he is a great guy and got me a great deal ! And I was thinking that these all were first release items ! The first release which everyone loved and built their reviews on ! So if I want to wait for a reissue version there is a chance that something wrong might happen down the road in production! So I preferred to get the guaranteed version from a friend from the board here!

Uh-oh.. talk about GX-40 reissue,, good news to collectors, but to Evolution Toys... not so good. I wonder if the decision to reissue GX-40 was partly based due to the Evolution Toys version.

Could be, it could be a way of Bandai saying "nice figure but for a few more Peso's this is how you really do it" lol.

Well I'm not gonna believe it until amiami or HLJ open pre-orders.
I certainly hope it's true, it'll resolve my Robo Rider dilemma for me.

LOL,, Well if Bandai see Evo Toys as a rival and as a threat,, and wants to cripple it in any way possible,, this is one way to do it. Evo Toys plan to target those who missed GX-40, but with this supposed reish.. no way collectors will go for a non-diecast version, whose preview pics already shows its not on par aesthetically versus an already proven, positively reviewed Bandai Godmars version. Its like Bandai killing the chicks even before they are hatched.

Its like Bandai killing the chicks even before they are hatched. The Evo Toys God Mars sells for around $200-215. And the GX-40 is going to retail for what, maybe $220-250? If so, who is going to want the Evo Toys version when you can get a definitive SOC version that includes a ton of accessories for a tad more? I've always felt that the price point of Evo Toys is pretty ridiculous. They cost as much as die-cast SOC's and are a much smaller toy that can't hold a candle to Bandai engineering and that aren't definitive enough to warrant an SOC price point. I hope Bandai continues to compete with them. At least for those interested in Evo Toys products, it may present a more realistic price level.

Although we're all glad Bandai is still collector friendly and is still giving us products that are worthy in terms of workmanship and price point value (who would have taught Tryder G7, with that size and that huge add-on part would just cost around 200usd),, but part of me dont wanna see Evo Toys do a CMs corp and die,, coz they are giving fans some robot releases what Bandai cannot.. Price is really the problem. If they can only slash it in half hehe..

Why must it be $250? That's not much cheaper than many used sets go for on secondary market. With almost all of the recent releases being $200-$225, I was hoping for less. Still gonna get it for sure, but darn. Hopefully anime export or someone will put it up with a nice discount.

Gonna jump all over this sh*t. I hope they keep re-issuing the good hard to find SOC's at a leisurely pace. I wouldn't mind some improvements but it beats paying 300+
Will regular japanese retailers carry it or do I need a proxy?

Okay, I guess "real" was the wrong word to use - "official" would've been more appropriate. But holy crap. Both this AND Segatron coming out the same month, hmmm....I'd better start saving up in advance. Why must it be $250? That's not much cheaper than many used sets go for on secondary market. With almost all of the recent releases being $200-$225, I was hoping for less. Still gonna get it for sure, but darn. Hopefully anime export or someone will put it up with a nice discount. You do realize that's only the Tamashii SRP and the actual retail price almost always winds up being much lower? I mean, look at Trider, it was SRPd at 27k yen but dropped considerably for retail, with amiami selling it only for like 20.3k yen.

^ yeah I see that. Just saw the tamashii price and got bummed. Hopefully it is $200 or less when it goes up for order.

Better than the 400+ I see it going for. 200 for what I hear is an amazing giant figure. Oh yes please.
