Yo, I scored me some robots at my local thrift store.
A large Decepticon, it's grey with purple and red accents
and transforms into a fighter jet, don't know its name.
And a Ultraman, don't know which variant.
And a small hard vinyl VR Trooper figure.

I hear ya OzmaLee bout the Transformers Prime. Caught the bug with them around Christmas and haven't stopped. I thought I had left Transformers a long time ago, but got sucked in again. As for a recent purchase, just received SOC GX-52 Getter Robo today in the mail. Really nice chogokin and the paint is flawless. Now to find some room in the display ;D.

What got me hooked was the show. I was just skimming channels when I saw a character that looked like Optimus Prime on the HUB. And that was it. Then I found out that there were First Edition toys. Sadly, most of my FE's were bought after Hasbro cancelled them for the US. I thought I was done with TFs as well (after TFC toys Hercules and a few movie optimuses) but these have reignited the spark! ;D

Yeah the show is really enjoyable for the most part. The children characters aren't even that whiny thank goodness. I was lucky enough to be able to buy all my FE Prime in my local TRU. Heck I even got them on sale ;D. Even now we still have some FE Prime stock at our local TRUs. Last time I checked I could still get all the Deluxe class figures although Cliffjumper is still hard to find. The tough ones were the Voyagers. Bulkhead was the toughest to find. Once I saw him, I didn't hesitate. He was bought. For the most part I still like the FE toys better than the RID versions but I am looking forward to the RID Vehicon and I really do like Wheeljack and Ratchet even if he is a bit small IMO.

As much as I like the TFC Hercules, I could not bring myself to drop the cash, but I did see it in person and really thought it was nicely executed.

I just realized you live in Canada. Lucky! I actually asked one of my friends that lives in Calgary to check TRU's but the only one they had left was Bumblebee which I was able to acquire at a TRU here. Like you I prefer the FE's but Wheeljack and Ratchet are pretty decent. The RID vehicon looks so much better compared to the FE since it doesn't have the back kibble.

Well, I did have buyer's remorse initially with Hercules but when I finally put him together, I forgot all about it. ;)
