OK, As I prepare for the end of the day I wanted to share details on the AMAZING evening of friends and conversation.
The day started with a wonderful visit from Robby a.k.a. Rex and some Gundam Anime. It was great catching up with Comic Artist talk and enjoying the animation. Thanks too for contributing the free RJ artwork.
Then others joined the gang closer to noon including Tattoo Jack and our new friend Fred and his kitbashing. Thanks guys for visiting and talkin' bots! Patrick, thanks for the setup help!
Damon, as always, thanks for bringing over Transformers Lucky Draw toys and exclusives you just Never see. Jack2, thanks for bringing over the art vibe and fun.
Others, thanks for bringing the TONS of toys for trade and sale. I went to Megacon and I can honestly say we had about 10 times as much as what was at the Orlando event. LOVED it!
Tom and others, thanks for traveling over to see us.
Valent, Don, and the Mechaworks group, THANK YOU for the wonderful art you so graciously contributed. We all enjoyed the comics (privately) as well as awesome posters. Mucho Gusto!
Bryan, It was amazing to see all the anime cels and your portfolio.....
MORE next..... ....

Discussion points to put on paper:
RJ needs social media adjustments, but the internet is still fragmented. As such I/we will work harder to broadcast news and great content via Facebook AND the forum AND occasional email updates AND front page of RJ flashes. I/We could use content broadcast consistency, and possibly people to spearhead these efforts.
RJ needs to EXPAND the art aspects. Art is free, fun potentially, and universal. It really warms the heart to see more art about and behind the toys that started me/us in the hobby.
RJ needs to attend more Anime events such as Mechacon. We will work towards participating on panels if that opportunity arises. Discussion panels will be fun and help us broaden the network of friends and fun.
RJ has grown to certain goals of being an outstanding photo encyclopedia and having a diverse forum. We have now need to create a fresh mission statement. The internet has evolved by leaps and bounds. RJ must adjust (as I always try to do), and chart the future.
Future RJ events will work towards utilizing an art gallery. We will try to use a downtown St. Pete gallery if possible next. RJ toys and artwork such as cels can be shown to a broad audience; we just need to plan and have the "next step" venue. It would be GREAT fun and could be multi-day this way for exhibition.
Specialists and "go-to" people will really help us. My hope is that more artwork will be covered by Robby, more cel/production discussions will be covered by Bryan, Myles will get more collection and vintage support, I will be adding more content, Jack will continue with pictures, BT and Chogoman and gold etc etc. Point being, I will work to enlist everyone's generous support and help coordinate the fun.

Sounds like it was a great event, with much idea's coming from it all! Glad you all had such a great time! Is it my understanding then, the event traditionally is a two day event, taking place every year on the two weekend days of like the 3rd week of February each an every year? I as well love the retro old artwork and color schemes of the late 70's and early 80's, and would like to see more of a mesh, such as backdrop displays an such.... I also talked to Jack about possible coming down next year, with a large assortment of cool T shirts, Long sleeve T's, even sweatshirt an hats perhaps, with cool non copy-wright infringement artwork an setup an sell a few if anyone would like that idea or would like to have some cool retro robot artwork to display on there clothing..... You see my best friend took a large amount of tax returns and invested in a multi thousand dollar shirt image transfer system, ink print system, embroidery system, as he plays softball, and has orders to fill already for entire softball teams and two sorority's who buy the whole lot of the gals shirts and sweatshirts, like four times a year..... Anyhow, I buy and sell on ebay as most here, and I don't wanna move any robots anytime soon, and just wanna add more. So I figure I will have like 5 in T's and maybe more in the sweatshirts and long T's. I plan to make a simple PILOT shirt if you will for just picture purposes, and print to order as they sell. I wanna make about 10 bucks via transaction to make it worth my time and I figure I can sell nice stuff for like 20 free shipping, up to 25 or so on the long sleeve nicer stuff, and perhaps as low as 10 bucks, and five more shipping. Just will depend on cost per shirt, and again I would not feel right making more then around 10 bucks per shirt, and that seems more then fair in my mind.... Anyhow, glad you all had a great time, wished I could have gotten this all rolling this year, but now having a year to prepare for next, good chance I could come up with some decent idea's if anyone here thinks that is something they would like to have access to. Take care all an be safe....

Yep! The summit was a great time! Thank you, Ed and family, for having us over. It was really great to see everyone. Some again, some for the first time. It's always awesome to hang out and talk shop in person with fellow collectors/enthusiasts. Hopefully the gathering will continue to grow.
Godaikincollector74, the RJ Summits have been one day events so far and timing is ultimately based on Ed's schedule since he has hosted them.
Myles, it was great to see you again, man! I am glad we got to catch up from last time.
Anyway, again, I had an awesome time and hope to attend the next one. Thanks to everyone for making it so much fun!

Great pics! I like the setup with the transformers and the pyramid looking big black an gold guy, whats the story, name, history to him? Also the big T-rex looking base purple one beside him up top. So many transformers, old, new, diaclone, ko, first generation, a re-lease of rel-releases 10 year anniversary, etc..... I don't mess with the transformers much, but I notice the Diaclone stuff is pretty sought after, esp the old dino bots an what not, or any really still nice in original box complete. They come with the cool Kronoform little guys with magnet feet, and I think that is a reason they are so sought after, that an rarity as opposed to the overall construction. And like those watches, the transformer kronoforms, they list at like 200 to 400 on ebay, and if you look at a pic of the back of a card of one, you see many you NEVER see listed, ultra rare just not many released, the ones that were, removed from box wore an lost to time..... Also, what is the the set of 8 little robots with the guy holding it with the excited expression graded 75, never seen that before, looks rare? One of the first robot grouping pics, there is a couple of big guys, with like fifteen rocket packs on there back, they look real nice as well, great display setups that I see there, thanks for the pics.....

Forgot to mention amazing artwork provided by our very own Transformers comic book artist Robby and new comic book artists Valent, Don, and team. Truly amazing and generous artists. I was blown away by their mastery.
