Has a Rex figure ever been made before 3A's and this model kit? McFarlane toys released one of Ray, along with a bunch of characters from the first two games, but I don't remember ever seeing a Rex from them and judging by the results I get from Google, it's negative.

Kind of baffling that we had to wait so long to get decent figures of such an iconic robot from such a cult hit game.

Now where's the gokin Rex?

there was one non scale WonderFest C3 style resin kit released a few years back i am wondering if they used that for this, Recently The R-type, Ikaruga, Silpheed and Raystorms kits that have been released from their respected companies were all based on a non scale WF C3 Resin kits that were released prior to the plastic ones (i should know i had most of them and put them side by side) some of the above metioned kits I believe were also made by Koto if i recall
