Forgive my beginner's question here: could someone shed a little light on the differences between the Popy Danguard Ace's ga-78 & ga-79? I think the ga-79 dx is more expensive because it transforms, right? Are there any other differences? Also, how big are these and what are the general "ballpark" prices one would pay for each of these. Thanks in advance.

GA-78 is the ST (standard) version of the toy. It stands in the range of 6 inch figures. GA-79 is the DX (deluxe) version of the toy. This version comes with more accessories and extended articulation, plus transformation. This is one of the first actually transforming toys after the DX Raideen.

Wow, I had no idea that there was that much of a difference in the size between the two. Thanks for the great pics vivi1561 and thanks for the info sketcher. Anybody know what the going rate for these two are (in US$?)

Examples as nice as the ones pictured above would be pretty expensive. $450+ for the GA-79 and half that for the GA-78. Somewhere in that area.

I got a near complete DX off of the eBay about six months ago for less than $80. There are deals out there, you just have to be patient and willing to search for them - i.e. searching for "old robot" "metal robot" type auctions.

Is the little extra jet there to replace the head in alternate mode?
