Got my SOC Daimos today (lucky me, because the FedEx punk left the box in my from door at 9:30 in the morning and I came home at 5:45PM). Nice figure, not a single scratch - arrived in perfect condition. However, for some odd reason, I am not really impressed with the figure. I don't know why, but it is just not "doing it" for me as much as I expected it to do...

It has such a large presence on my shelf now. It just resembles Daimos so well. It is a must for Daimos fans! I am looking forward to get a second one from Andy!

Started to take a bunch of photos, then my camera battery died because I'm a negligent caretaker of my technology. Some of the few photos I took: Basic Hapkido fighting stance If only Daimos had a "pointing" hand... Standin' around. Road (and sky) warriors "No Air Conditioning? We'll see about that!" And some updated opinions: He's grown on me a bit as far as his robot mode goes, simply because he's so sturdy and solid feeling. Considering the number of moving panels on his body and especially legs, he feels super sturdy. The only slightly flimsy feeling point is that the moving panel on the inside of his legs doesn't lock in and can "push in" very easily, requiring you to open him up (ouch) to put it back. Even without a waist joint and wonky knees, his stability and ankle movement give him a lot of ability to express himself through posture. His shoulders and elbows, too, are marvelous (though simple) and allow a ton of flex room. On the other hand, I think Daimos might have the worst poseable hands of any SOC I've ever owned. I like him, I don't think he's the best SOC ever, but he's certainly nicely done. As a side note, has anyone been able to get him transformed into Tranzer mode with his poseable hands still attached? I've only been able to do it with his fists, the movable hands just stick out too much. It's really distressing if this is the case; I don't like being forced to swap hands if I just want him to be able to hold his Tonfas or the like. EDIT: I recall some people mentioning not being able to pose his shoulderpads "straight", only being able to have them angled out a bit or angled in a bit. This is because the shoulders haven't been locked in all the way. It's kind of a tight connection and easy to miss, but there's a little peg at the base of the joint that pushes into the body. This will make the red shoulderpads perfectly parallel with his torso.

No toy is perfect. Daimos is my favorite SOC to date. It feels very solid. It has a lot of diecast and the transformation was very well conceived. The quality of the toy is exceptional.

I was wondering if you have to intentionally change his hands when transforming? The part where you extend his arms all the way down past his hips and tuck it in... i changed hands coz i had a hard time tucking it in...

I dunno, I think Daimos makes himself look good bmzdmd: I haven't been able to put him in tranzer mode without putting the non-poseable fists in. It's really irksome.

i too have problem transforming Daimos with the poseable hands. after i few try i checked the manual and noticed that when they transforme Daimos in the manual they only had the fist attatched. i guess the fist was meant to be used.

I was gonna post this question when I got my stuff. I really carefully tried to cram those articulated hands in there to no avail Putting the "fists" instead was more of a process of deduction for me ;D

Mine is in Tranzer mode right now and I don't recall swapping the fists. I'll check later to make sure.

I got bored transforming mine.... So I just maintained it in robot mode. He is now in my display case showing his Daimos death blow pose!

Do they have a hard time transforming him in the video? I should go watch it for a laugh. I didn't think Daimos was a pain to TF at all (once I figured out that I needed to bend the knees to swing the panels out!)
