Finally picking this guy up today... I've read up and it seems pretty solid but are there anything issues or nitpicks that you guys think should be looked out for?

Ok so old to you guys but grail to me, I finally scored the GX-43 Daimos and it's the last older SoC I personally needed so it feels like the end of a journey.

Oh man! I got it last year and love it! I understand that the FA one is more dynamic but I just love this thing. My son calls it "THE KARATE ROBOT!"

Oh ok. There's that blank space on the styro that's on the upper left. I know the alternate head in vehicle mode is supposed to be placed there. Maybe you have it and it's not pictured then.

That's interesting. I've been wanting to get one but a new one is just too costly. I wonder if Bandai will update this where it doesn't have a switcheroo head when transforming.

how did you find it? do you like it? I have it but it is back at home in Syria along with some of my elder pieces which I miss so much and looks like I won't be able to handle them in person any time soon.

I have it but it is back at home in Syria along with some of my elder pieces which I miss so much and looks like I won't be able to handle them in person any time soon. Only had it for a day and also worked all day so really no play time but felt nice and very solid. Beautiful to look at. Reminds me quite a bit of Gunbuster in terms of fit and finish. Be careful where the tranzor cover attaches to the peg on the back of his waist. Mine broke on my first copy. Thank you for this. Honestly mine attached very easily but mine came without instructions so figuring out how to actually make room by removing the can took a bit and I honestly don't know what made me think to do it. But yea, that piece attaches and detatches really easily but after going through a clean transformation back and forth I realized I like the (not so) big backpack look and am displaying it that way.

@kumastyle first congrats man its really a decent figure, and most of us are looking for a decent to get it personally after getting the FA i could wait more for a reissue or a new R version no problems, i just cant pay DX price for an 11 years old SOC also i highly recommend checking Gold review for this guy, since he covered everything about it

I've already given it a full playthrough and sought assistance from friends with it in-hand. I'm good.
And yes the going rates seem to be pretty darned nuts but on the other hand it's a really nice piece. I certainly wouldn't think of the F.A. as a substitute or even stand in for this (or any of the other F.A. pieces vs. the originals.) If that were the option I'd save the money towards the original.

I don't normally go about reviewing and doing full on galleries for older pieces like this but I think I'm going to for the sake of getting more out there for people searching in general.

Congratulations on getting it, and completing your soc list (the feeling of completing something is always nice as a collector). Really appreciate you go backward to this kind of pieces, it's really hard to find good reviews or pictures about old stuff since technology made those things pretty hard to do years ago. Have fun with it
