thanks guys -omni heh..... Oh I totally recommend it. ever since I moved full on digital.. changes and messing around is much faster. plus the fear of making mistake disapears... so you're willing to be more DARING. Oh you can download a trial version of it here usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=6848332&siteID=123112$100 american. Fast and easy to use. It's no photoshop.. but I prefer it for drawing and sketching. It doesn't have the powerful editing tools like photoshop. But its fantastic for what it is. And what it does is FANTASTIC.

I think I'm going to try out your program, Kid. Another great sketch BTW! Loving the burlesque music! ;D Just another tech question for you (sorry, just wanted to pick your brain). When you are applying the shading and light/dark values to the figure and background, are you doing it in layers like photoshop or masking the edges of the lines somehow? Just curious. I The program I'm using is the stock program that came with my wacom. Corel Painter Essentials. I need to fully explore it a bit more, but It would appear that it has the ability to create separate layers. Either way, I might go ahead and snag autodesk. Seems like a cool program.

I'm using the marker tool for the shading. Unfortunetly alias sketchbook doesn't have a lot of variety of colours. or tones. So what I do is.. change the opacity for the layers... to control some of the darkness. and slowly build up the tones. Oh umm no real masking.. just eraser tool and markers.. and felt pen. I hope that helps.. sorry for the slow reply.. been under the weather.

It does look like fun, though that means I have to upgrade my old PC, when I say old it is really old.

yeah, it's a lot of fun. I have some down time before my contract. I'm looking for ways to keep myself busy as well as some alternative ways of promoting myself (here's hope that these videos find new clients for me).
Otaru - how old is your computer? I'm pretty sure alias sketchbook will work for you. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like photoshop. But it loads fast.. and pretty intuitive.

Otaru's PC is Win98.
Been bugging him to upgrade but he's too old and stubborn, lol! ;D

oh wow.. that means it could be around 10 yrs old. Let me retract my previous statement... and Otaku, get a new computer!!!! actually even mid to low level will do to get that program. Shouldn't cost you too much. You can get a nice duo processor computer that would last you another 10 yrs.
