I just bought one of these myself. Can't wait to get it. T28 is one of my favorites and this really is a great looking toy. The box is nice as well.

This box design is so much more sophisticated than the regular SOC look and feel. I sure don't miss the bad typography, lighting bolts and marble of the SOC boxes. But for some strange reason I now do like the SOC boxes. I used to hate it with passion. I guess good products always triumphs over bad design. The content matters more no matter what.

A bit disappointing. The light up gimmick has been removed. The PVC miniatures are not there, but the space in the blister is. The instructions booklet is a single sheet, printed only on one side, with gx-24m pictures. Seems like BANDAI is holding back from giving some meat for the money... Especially with "limited" releases, should be the other way around. The robot itself is gorgeous, though...

wow, that is really gorgeous. I may have to pick one up. I prefer it 200% over the original color scheme.

I'm holding off until after the SDCC - I expect Toynami to offer the "Naked" Tetsujin here as well. At what mark-up is the question.

What ? no light up eyes??? Sadly no. How unexpected. I thought they would never take the hassle of modifying pre existent goodness, but there you go. The back of the T28 has got a metal plaque to fill the switch hole, and the remote control is just a plastic shell, I tested it with the regular gx-24 and it does not work... Cheap ba$t*rds.

oh man... I was going to buy it... Perhaps still should get it and buy another old regualr gx to put in the lights? Ehi! That's a good idea! Had not thought of it. Beware though, that, from what I remember they have removed even the batteries place, and it was originally nested in red plastic. That means that you should have to paint the piece to match the metallic brown on the new one. Not an easy feat. Later, if I can I'll try to snap a coupla shots to let you see the inside. And, another thing, I'm not sure that the white eyes on the new one are transparent enough to be lighted up...

I want to see what the differences and how many modification are needed.

Sorry, but REAL LIFE (tm) has eaten me up yesterday.... Tonight I'm leaving for a long weekend... Won't be able to post until tuesday night... If it's not too late for you... Doesn't matter. Take your time. I will take some pix of my GX-24 for reference. BTW I had read an article, the eyes on 24N are not transparent .................

Alright, here we are... I got it completely wrong. The inner body is exactly the same. I did not remember the original. Yesterday evening, coming back from the Weekend, I disassembled the 2 robots to take some comparation shots, but found out they're exactly the same. I guess, with the fact that the eyes are not transparent, this leaves us hopelessly without light up bits... BTW, can anyone translate the japanese text in here?
