Actually, the robot scale is accurate, The pilots are not, look how out of scale does Kenzo is in energer's head!!! he surpasses the head's pannels height, he should fit inside the head and not show out of it.
I really think that GX-45 is in facts the most accurate scaled Mazinger to date in comparison with Great mazinger and Aoshima's Mazinkaiser, when You put all the brain ships together , the GX-01 and the GX-01R are in fact TOO BIG for the brain condor and kaiser pilder, the GX-45 pilder fits teh scale just perfect.

Energer (the real prototype by Go Nagai) was supposed to be 12 meters tall, versus the 18 meters of Mazinger. Yeah, Bandai really screwed this one big time. However, I'm still wondering why the red/black color scheme???

Maybe the red part is some kind of powerup we'll see in the series? Kinda like how Godannar changes color when it forms....

So, I read it is red because it is Energer "Meltdown" version...
I guess he goes the way of Godzilla!

I dig the red with the black thighs, biceps, and waist, but I question the purple. What color do you guys think would have worked better instead of purple? Someone want to do some photoshops?

Yeah, yeah... a SRW mecha size picture - which is pretty much worthless after actually reading the manga or watching the anime (or OVAs). Of course, the sizes could be right if Ryoma was a 4 meter giant (comparing cockpits)... ;D Cool picture nonetheless. }D

I never go by official stats, like I've said a hundred times before the "scale" that Bandai uses for it's SOC line is pretty much perfect for me, it just looks good and for me makes sense. Real Mecha < Super Robots < Combined Robots.
