This is from BBTS's news letter: www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TOY10337&mode=retailLooks like Bandai is really re-releasing characters with crazy articulation like the Shin Mazinger GX-45. Man I'm not sure if I'll get this, too many Mazingers! PS: I just realized that this is actually going to be from Toynami!! This could be the first batch of SOCs from Toynami!

Okay first off this is NOT a re-issue of GX-07i/e. If you look at the picture it's using the same joints system as GX-45 also this will be released in both North America and everywhere else. BBTS is just getting it through Toynami now since they are the Official distributor of SOC's in NA.

Thanks for the clarification CHEN. I misunderstood Quin's statement there. LOL.
I have the GX-07I and like it. We'll see how the finish product looks. Due this September.

So, will we being seeing future GX releases of older SOC robots with the new joints? Gaiking, Jeeg, and Grendizer with the new elbow and knee positioning? This could get expensive.

I doubt we'll see all new figures of Gaiking or Grendizer especially since those two have contracting legs and Gaiking has two sets of forearms. This is coming out because of the new Mazinger series so Bandai is capitalizing on it. Think of GX-07i/e as the Manga version of Energer Z while GX-47 is the Anime version.

Pre-ordered it too. Well, the robot I'm really hoping either Bandai or Yamato decides to make is the DAIRUGGER XV. It would look awesome next to the Voltes, Combattler, Godmars, and of course, MPC Voltron...

It seems that this version of the Energer X is a completely new version, perhaps based on the body of Shin Mazinger Z. In other words, it is not the same as the GX-07E limited that was based on the GX-07 molds.

it's a new robot on the new show and not just a reissue of 07E... this is why it's being made. i see no indication that it's a US, Toynami, or any type of exclusive whatsoever.
I'm game if Bandai wants to re-do the 1st ten SOCs but they'd really have to be great to get my money. I loved the original SOC Energer and I'm loving the new show... best new show in years. I only hope we get the Mazinger Army robots.
I find it hilarious when people get all upset when Bandai re-does, re-makes, or re-issues SOCs... they constantly re-release everything they do, for many years now. They're a collector-oriented product, meaning it won't really be worth all that much more than retail in a few years (a trend in collectibles since the 90's folks) and all the speculators (those who buy for value rather than love) will get shafted.

Well, that's not entirely correct. I sold a Mineva X for over $150.00 before it was reissued. Same with the Aphrodite A, and Grendizer. And how about the Black Boss Borot? Let's not even talk about the PX-01 & PX-01X...
So, there is money to be made, but it will not be right away.

I believe it is kind of set back to origin. Look at the proportion of GX-46, the head is a little small compare with GX-01R. The Shin Mazinger Z (GX-45) is using the same prospect or design concept, the head is a little smaller than the head of GX-01R too. In my opinion, when those robots are under the same circumstance, the odd-looking will be eliminated when you put them together for display.

Man... if they ever make Gx-48 to be Iron Z with the Gx-45 body then this line's really gone down hill. Gold
