Neat, but not being official will mean very limited productions and very high prices. I'd be shocked if it sold for less than $200, considering Grimlock was $130, official, and mass produced for mass retail.

Oh crap, I hope your not right about the price point. The Design is still the best Prime design. The THS -02 Prime didn't cut it.

This seems like a cool product if it gets made. I love the TH02 BTW. I think it has a great robot mode and lots of poses.
There was a christmas ornament that was based off of MP prime as well.

I also like my THSO2 very much as well. If I had a Grimlock Masterpiece, I would get this one even at that price.

It's funny, if this does come out I expect it to be all plastic which lower costs, but when we finally get a MP Prime that's in-scale with Grimlock he's now to small compared to the Seekers lol.

Is he really smaller than the seekers on a realistic scale? Jets can be huge. I know the cartoon screwed realistic scale all to hell though.
I would like to see him compared to Megs.

Yeah, if we actually went by realistic measurements the Seekers would be over 60 feet tall, Prime would be maybe 15-20, and Megatron and Soundwave would be about a foot tall lol.

ill buy it if i can get one.
i can still notice the chest (doors) are not aligned in the prototype, just like the masterpiece. does this mean they are from the original mold but was reduced in scale?

It's probably a hand built prototype so that's why there are still some QC issues. Also I HIGHLY doubt Takara would give this company any help let alone the molds since in essence this is a "bootleg", a really nice one, but not a official product from either Takara or Hasbro.
But if this does come out, it would fit in perfectly with the Classics line.

agree with chen.. hoping that with this mini masterpiece- bootleg- we will able to see a VW bumblebee, and other transformers that aren't made in masterpiece lineup.
for the realistic scale... we can have this: MP grimlock mini masterpiece OP WST megatron and soundwave

I would love to have the mini crystal prime if it was affordable. Then a mini crystal city Commander armor!

You're right, that's really strange. Unless they're making a mini armored Ultra Magnus from it, then I'm all for it. Emerje

Probably, but depending on where the makers are from they can probably dodge Hasbro's legal team. I find these groups are pretty reclusive (except for Unicron.com which produces their stuff legally and sells it officially at Botcon). If you look around you'll find that likely the same group is responsible for a bunch of "Worlds Smallest Transformers" Dinobots which are basically miniature versions of the G1 molds. One loop hole that is often used is simply changing the name of characters. Just look at the armor sets, names like "City Commander" let them describe the character rather than use trademarked names. For all we know these'll be offered as "Leaderbot 1" and "Leaderbot 2".
