Almost as big fully extended but still smaller. Also I don't think it's smaller to cut costs since there is actually more material used if you go by weight. I'm thinking if it was the same size as GX-18 or bigger it would have been in the $80-90 dollar range because of it's bulky design. I'll admit that it did bug me at first that the new Mazinger and Getter Dragon are smaller than their classic versions but I just see these as alternate designs/versions while the classic designs are the "true" representation of the robot plus after you get over the size it's actually a pretty nice figure.

Did you just say Gold? ;D and Gold.. care for a translation... Hehe, I'll try to make a review when I get mine. 45caliber, I think the warning is pointing to the spin cutters, they spin freely when the elbow is at 90% max. folding up the elbow joint any further will cause it to lock and not spin? Just got mine. I hate the shoulder pads - the arm has limited mobility to pose when you put it on. I prefer the cape. Edit: lolz. I just discovered the shoulder extender rods from the Jap website review. Bandai did think of everything.

I don't know themazingerz ----- you might be really disappointed in the height comparison.

It'll probably look good next to Shin Getter 1, since GX-18 was actually a bit taller than the Aoshima figure but GX-51 will probably be to small next to the Aoshima Getter 1 since that was almost as large as Shin Getter 1, but of course there is Bandai's OVA Getter 1 coming out so that fixes that problem.

Yeah, but then that pretty much makes the new line incombatible with all the other SOC SR's. You gotta have two display ca$e$..... Although if they complete the Shin Getter lineup with an eventual Shin Getter 3, I could just hold out for that since it's already shorter than everything else. ;D

It's nothing major I've been fooling around with it, and if you move it slow and not too much force it rotates. It shouldn't break unless you use insane amounts of force plus I rather have tight ankle joints then loose ones like my Great Mazinger or Com-battler which I'm always afraid is gonna do a face plant/shelf dive lol.

OK!! Problem fixed. There are some paint on the ball joint. You can disassemble the leg, take out the ball joint. Use the finest sandpaper to rub out the paint job.

Mine is here... had the same stiff ankle problem. What's wrong with your QC Bandai???!!! The ball joint system has a metal socket made of two halves and a plastic ball joint which is part of the foot. You have to remove the single screw in the back of the leg to get to the ball joint assembly, then remove three tiny screws to separate the two halves of the metal socket (be careful not to loose the two tiny micro springs that hold the extending ankle joint stop-tabs in place - they will be exposed when the metal joint socket is separated). Once the foot ball joint is out, you can use one of the metal sockets halves to remove the paint by putting the ball joint inside of it and spinning it around and side to side. This way you will prevent any damage, or scrapes to the actual foot if using sandpaper or small file. That's how I fixed mine and it works like a charm! }D
