Finally I have it in my hand, all worth it for its price, there is a sheer heft to it, pretty solid, not much to complain really. This would be my first RX-78-2 as a long time Gundam fan. You have the absolute best rendition of the character.

Wow....Zaku looks tobe an insanely awsome release. The joint engineering looks tobe at least on par to Sentinel, if not pass them out right...crazy.
Metal Build team seems to challenge SOC for quality dominance and in my book, as of right now? it looks tobe winning...
I passed him up due to visually awkward shoulder joint ( looking like its floating in certain angle...) but after seeing the review...I'm having a remorse.
"When" Bandsi release a rerelease and_or a variation, I am sure to pick him up.
What an incredible figure. Def a strong 2019 TOTY contender...if the contest was held today, it would win the title imho.
Congrats to all the bros who got him and I eagerly but patiently await your thoughts on him.
Wow...just... wow. I'm blown away.

Bit long but still very informative. He seems to indicate the lower part of the feet are diecast too.

Just got a text from DHL, my Zaku is out for delivery! Thankfully my kids haven't started school yet so they'll be home to receive it. I haven't had anything stolen from my porch yet (knock on wood).

I have probably watched more than 5 different review from Japanese or Chinese reviewers. It's mass production, so there might be 1% out there that QC missed. Bad luck for that guy i guess..

No mass production item is 100% perfect. So probably an isolated case as innorous said. Haven't seen or read anything about other cases.

It took them 12 years, but my wait is finally over... I'm finally getting a Zeon Zaku from Bandai with metal composite joint systems from this line. I hope they continue pushing some of the others out like the standard green zaku and the tri-star zaku set and of course the much revered gouf..

Just got mine and holy nards what an amazing piece! It's like a SOC F.A. in articulation. Paint on mine appears perfect, but I'll do a closer inspection later. I am not sure how to explain it, but it has this amazing tactile feel. The texture on the Grey portion of the feet is really...um, not sure what word to describe it velvety-plastic?? Its so cool. My only complaint so far is the lack of clickey joints in the knees. I was spoiled by the buttery-smooth soft ratchets in the GFFMC RX-78.

Shame no clicky knees but it had to have a weakness...
Thank you all you bros for reporting in! If it's a winner like it seems tobe then green mass production model is just a matter of time.
I wouldn't be surprised if it could land by this Christmas....(my wishful thinking haha.)

So unfair that we had to wait so much to get a Char unit. The guy must be one of the most popular (or the most) gundam character ever... The tri star in the anime used Doms (not zaku)... I think they used them in manga but not sure. I want Ramba Ral Gouf (they are pretty similar to zaku so almost 70% of the work is already done). The old man is a legend too (he even appear in the build saga outside UC so I guess he is popular in Japan too).

Once they have the mold, it's going to have all sort of P-bandai re-skin, re-color. By that time, your wallet will wish GFFMC Red Comet never happened
