I just saw this on another site. It looks really good. Can't wait to see real robot mode and to see it in color. The illustration of the robot mode kinda looks like roadbuster.

Looking really cool. I've always liked Springer. I'm not 100% sold on that color scheme, but it's way too early for me to get my knickers in a twist. I'll look forward to seeing more as things develop.

D-d-d-diecast!?! Talk about icing on the already delicious and moist cake. Robot mode is looking really great too.
Do we have a tentative release date yet?

The diecast was a real surprise, but it's going to make the figure really pricey! I'm hoping that's a limited version and they'll offer an all plastic version alongside it.
He does look great, only concern about bot mode is that his hips/pelvis are very forward of center, almost past his chest. Hopefully that's just the camera angle.

"i got better things to do tonight then die"
gives the hasbro/takara designers kick in the nuts for design.
i just hoping its not more than $50 which is fat chance

I'm very impressed with the inclusion of diecast. Did not expect that at all! Wow! This looks like it's gonna be another one from FP not to miss.

They sent me a solicitation for a preorder. I asked them about their minimum order for any interested in another FP group buy. I will let you know if it is too many or not.

That would be sweet, man. I may be able to jump in on a group buy if it can happen.

I'm interested, and the timing is perfect for a large purchase, what with tax season only weeks away.

Well, lets not get our hopes up yet. I will keep you all posted on what fansproject says. I will not be able to be much less than MSRP if, just because the way they price their products and then charge fees to make payment and very expensive makes it very difficult to even break even when selling much less than MSRP.

who is the defender anyway? design is just so so to me. a robot, a chopper, a "wat is that" thing
looks like an expensive voyager class toy. will pay 25bucks for this
no offense intended but just my opinion. but i was impressed with fp magnus add on but too expensive

Really? It's based on Springer, the triple changer Autobot from the '86 animated TF movie. Famous line is, "I've got better things to do tonight than die!", said while under Decepticon attack at Earth's Autobot City. Modes are robot, futuristic helicopter, and futuristic ground attack vehicle. He was one of the core characters in the movie. After all these years, have you not seen it? Just wanted to add that I agree it should be expected to pay around $25 for an all plastic toy of this size at mass retail. However, as a limited run, custom, triple changing Transformer, with diecast parts, and the anticipated high quality that has become expected from Fans Project, $80 is really a VERY fair price for this.
