The toys r us store are now flooded with First Edition TF Prime toys. Best part, they are having a BOGO 50% off sale all Transformers toys, which means they are regular priced. I got both the voyagers Prime and Bulkhead for $19 each and two Vehicons for $12 each. This was the first time where I went into a retail store and found Vehicons on the shelf. And the thing was, they had over 8 of them. Earlier in the year, back in April, I was given one of these TF Prime FE Vehicons as a gift. Didn't want to make my friend feel bad, but I sold it immediately on eBay and got $85 for it. I knew these first edition toys wouldn't hold value. It was a hard lesson that my first learned buying these things when they were so over priced.
That's Burger King. McDonald's is $2, last time I cared, and back when I last checked, the happy MEAL was $0.50 more, so ...for the soda, it's worth it. just have to resist the temptation to buy extra food with it.
I like Thundertron. He's a little statue-y compared to modern figures, but he has good aesthetics. The blade liger lion mode is only okay and not super awesome, though.
I have to say, I'm glad to see another faction in the toy line. I wonder if we'll be seeing any more Star Seekers...
Despite the apparently generally negative feelings towards Beast Hunters, I'm still looking forward to seeing where this goes. There is some awkwardness to the first wave of designs, but I think despite that it could very easily go somewhere interesting that Transformers hasn't quite been before. Also, I'm enjoying the Beast Machines vibes.
Beast Hunters Optimus Prime, the mold is actually pretty good. My only beef is the use of green instead of blue for the eyes and chest and the open mouth face but this could be my first Transformers Prime figure.
