i heard about it but my friends told me that its not good anime am gonna watch and decide i wanna know what id the diffrrence between 1st and 2nd figure? They're nuts. Patlabor is classic. The difference is that they're different units. It's like the difference between Hikaru's VF-1J and Roy's VF-1S. Different vehicle for a different pilot, with some differences to follow. Mainly, it has a different head and different shoulders. It also has different markings and a different pilot. Other than that ... not really much. In the case of the toy, Unit 2 also has a riot gun, so that's something.

who has these to show me VF-1J and Roy's VF-1S? The VFs (Variable Fighters) are the transforming robot/jet fighters from the Macross saga. Nothing to do with Patlabor. If you want pictures of these two, just Google their name, you'll find plenty without breaking a sweat. It was only an example of two other similar vehicles with small, mostly aesthetic differences. They might have changed the color scheme, head sculpt, markings, etc., but are essentially the same machine. Those differences exist in most cases only to help the viewers follow the action on screen, as in reality, if machines like that were really made, they'd most likely all look the same, save for some identification markings.

there was a rumor that yamato also will release non-kit 1/24 command car with 4 figure, is it still on progress or another dead end?
pit-road kit is very nice, but i really dont like the trouble of model kit.

I believe this IS the Yamato command car that was rumored. The blogs mention that it's a cross promotional item between Pit Road and Yamato (notice it was on the Yamato display table next to the 1/24 Ingram).

HOW awesome would you say it is? Let's say that someone owns three CM's ingrams, two MG Model ingrams three revoltech ingrams, and has owned all the old Bandai 1/60 scale ingrams. Would it REALLY be so much better than all of that to justify a purchase? Because I'd be lying if I said it didn't tempt me. Sometimes I hate that the AV-98 is in my top 5 favorite mecha designs ever

Would it REALLY be so much better than all of that to justify a purchase? Because I'd be lying if I said it didn't tempt me. Sometimes I hate that the AV-98 is in my top 5 favorite mecha designs ever From CM's I have units 1, 2,3,Griffin,Peacemaker 1,2,TV Brocken, 4 of the vinyls and both minifigure sets (w/an extra command car). I also splurged on teh Wave Helldiver (painful but I had to do it). If I HAD to choose between a single 1/24 Alphonse and the ENTIRE 1/48 collection then I guess I'd have to go with the collection. An entire anime lineup always trumps one figure if you're a fan of that anime. But then if you're a fan of that anime you really should get the Yamato Ingram! IMO it's far and away the Ingram with the best combination of size, sculpt, poseability and gimmicks. The only thing it lacks is diecast unless you count the skeleton. But then it might not be nearly as poseable with diecast armor. The poses and looks it's capable of are just stunning. The Yamato Ingrams that I feel are more open to debate are Unit 2 and the Fantasy-USA version. Unit 1 is definitely must have if you're a Patlabor fan & want the ULTIMATE Alphonse. Get Unit 2 or CLAT USA if you wanna splurge or if you're not really a Patlabor fan but just like the design. Edit: I think with your collection a big Ingram would look pretty cool surrounded by all the smaller ones.

I have one query , MechaShiva. Other than the shotgun that comes with Unit 2 , is there any significant difference between the two? Based on what you said , it seems that Unit 1 is better. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The other differences are the head design and the pilot being a different character. In "absolute" terms you could say that Unit 2 is actually better because it has that extra weapon (which you pay an extra $20 for ).....but if you're the kind of collector that needs to get the robot of the main character FIRST, then Unit 1 is gonna be the natural choice. If I had never seen Patlabor I might go with Unit 2, but things change when you watch a series.
