Speaking of robot reappropriation. I would like to see some robots in the TF lines get reused as something for an anime. I think Whirl and Mindwipe as well as his drones would be perfect for some new anime. I bet there are other tf toys that could fit into that use as well.

MP-10 Optimus Prime was re-issue and recolored as a reference of the future anime project crossover with Evangelion. Pretty much Prime was sportting the colors of EVA-01 which ironically thats how sharteglass Optimus Prime is almost close as. BTW Has anyone seen Jetfire in store? he comes out in October so not yet, if your asking why some people are getting it is because of the SDCC. They where selling Jetfire figures there for a limited group. One thing i will say about the Jetfire figure that i do not like, the chrome in the weapons, they completely ruin the detail and I wish it was the plain red with black like the back of the box. i might try removing the chrome but i don't know how... =(.

Yeah I don't like the chrome either but I'll bet a million bucks that a 3rd Party group will make more G1 looking accessories for it.

Don't you dare calling Macross stupid!! note that i said "Macross Jet"(forgot there names, i think Valkyries) Forgive me for my explosion of hatred to Macross but i hate the anime with a passion and is all because my big sister to blame about it. Never liked the anime when i was a kid because i find a bit boring and to make it worse my big sister force me to watch it with her time and time again when she was taking the TV to see it while i was about to watch or was watching another program (mention any, Macross always ruins it). Hell even she had episodes recorded in a VHS and she would take the TV from me to see it here Macross recording in days that the episodes where not on and would interrupted me seen other animes like Gaiking or Jeeg just to see a VHS recorded episode of it....A VHS RECORDED EPISODE!!!!WTF?!?!(note this was at the time we only had one TV in the house, a year later we gotten 3 TV but sadly to late). When transformers toy started to show up i was looking forward for getting Skyfire and when i finally saw what he was gonna be which is a recolored Valkyrie(Macross Jet) i pretty much despise the figure automatically. Never had the G1 Skyfire in hand because of it, now finally an official one is coming out as a true Jetfire/Skyfire, granted it looks like a Valkyrie (macross jet) at least is not one that is shoved im throat as in: "you want skyfire? sorry we cannot do that, instead here is a Macross Jet painted to look like skyfire for you to enjoy". so much anger.... don't get me wrong, Macross is a good anime by many people, but for me because of past experience i will always considered it as a bad series and a hatred one no matter which version of anime at this point. my little sister saw the series and she is trying to convince me to see it, haven't succeed yet but she always tries to maintain me inform about it which i don't mind. Just saw your post. I saw Macross as I kid and while I appreciated it, it didn't blow my mind. It is until few years ago when I had the chance to watch it again it really really grew on me. The story has so much depth and emotion/complexity. The mechas were of course great. However, the show is not about the mechas, it's just one component. Anyways, sorry about your experience, and hope one day you'll give macross a second chance. I hear you about skyfire, but glad that it's finally getting rectified finally after all these years.

New Transformers combiners coming for the Generations line, Team Stunticon and Team Aerialbot in other words menasor and superion Stunticon Menasor Aerialbot Superion to see there seperate units follow this links to each one Team StunticonsTeam AerialbostMotormaster and Silverbolt ( the ones that form the main body of the combine form) are voyager size will the rest of the group that forms the limbs are deluxe size. OMG...cant they really make a good combiner from the generations line...i mean third party toy makers are killing them in terms of design and appeal...these combiners look so horrible....theyre out of proportion and really incomparable to 3rd party stuff....why cant they learn to make good combiner toys....all they want is to make profit....couldnt be a good design equate to a better profit???

However Superion looks far better, even people that have the third Party Uranos said it looks much better, of course they critize the missing slingshot, been replace by Alpha Bravo in helicopter mode. from what i gader Hasbro was not able to to get the license for the jet mode for Slingshot so they use Alpha Bravo for it, there speculations that of a possibility of becoming a repaint of Vortex for maybe a future Brutics as well Defensor in the future. also there trying to make homage to the original toy that had pretty much those proportions to begin with (i used to have Superion when i was a kid, he pretty much look like that in regards in proportion although this new one looks better). Also remember that this is targeting for kids most of the time as well they have to work with a certain amount of budget which the gaining they get for selling must pay for the the people that work on it assembly and such. unlike 3rd Parties they do not need to do such and can get away with it with the high price. if i could critize something severly, it would be the hands and feets design, hands look to big and feets for me look to small, they should reverse the proportions TBH.

That's not true, hasbro can make pretty nice looking figures like the deluxes Orion Pax or voyager's Springer, Rhinox, Whirl and Roadbuster as for engineer Masterpiece you could say RoTF Leader class Optimus Prime is pretty much almost one of how close the figure captures his Movie version as well the level of complexity it is. The real problem is it would be quite difficult for Hasbro to make a figure that also appeals heavily more the collector, we are talking about making deluxes figures and the voyagers to be more high graded which it would make deluxes selling in voyager prices pretty much $25 to $30 while the voyager would have to be in $40 or $60 which is already in the leader class. Thats only assuming if they try to make it affordable as possible and not overprice like 3rd parties that sell theres in the $100 range. At the end of the spectrum it would be the collectors (a small group) would be buying such figures in that price range for something that is for retails everywhere, parents would not consider much getting it for there kids at least 1 or 2 because of the cost (for deluxe at $25 or $30x4 for each figure plus the voyager been somewhere around $40 or $60, its to much for some simple toys for kids). The aspect of this 2 combiners was to please both side with a compromise, plus since they where still targeting for the more G1 homage this is actually as good as they can make it while not making it to high price. Designing a home with a low budget for a homeowner to his/her specifications is not the same as making a toy with a low budget to mass produce and sell to a big group of people (both kids and adults alike), in Hasbro's business stand point they need to make this figures to be affordable as possible from selling point and budget point of view for future productions. Both combiners has the scramble feature which you can mix and match arms and legs and vise-versa, Alpha Bravo( the helicopter) has a high possibility that it can be use to be recolored into 2 other transformers in the future, Vortex( for Bruticus left arm) and Blades(Defensor right arm). this is also noticeable as well with one of the Stunticons Offroad (aka Wildrider), he can be use to make Swindle(Bruticus right leg) and First Aid (Possibly Defensor left leg). It is also to note that Optimus Prime figure that they use to make Motormaster mold can also become a torso for the combiners as seen been promoted for the combine wars comics that this figures are been base off.
