Thanks for the info Quinjester. A sad ending for a great toy.

Well you never know, a enterprising 3rd party company like iGear or Fansproject could reverse engineer a cyclone and produce all four at say a smaller scale and without the cloth for the riders . . .

I hope it will happen one day , Chen.

I think the general flopping of all previous attempts at making Ride armor toy lines (CM's is the only one that actually completed a full line of toys, and I can't imagine that they sold well, and they take a lot of QC hits to get there.) doesn't bode well for the future of Mospeada ride armors.

Reading more about the R.I.P. status of the Toynami Cyclones is depressing me. =(
I wonder why it seems that a lot of the Mospeada related mecha have taken QC hits (except for the Toynami/Beagle Cyclones & Toynami Beta's). Are the engineering fundamentals just too complex for most manufacturers? FansProject makes solid quality products so if they ever were to produce them, there is no doubt it would be an A1 release. But I haven't seen them produce anything outside of the Transformers canon.
Are the Toynami Cyclones approximately the same height as the vintage Gakken Cyclones?

that's a lot of Cyclones. I'm surprised that MOTUC Sy-Klone and TF Cyclonus aren't in there.

It's quite amazing we had 3 modern versions of the ride armor (Beagle, Megahouse and CM's) almost at the same time, and I'm really happy I could get one of each. We probably won't ever see any new toys unless a new Mospeada show gets done like they did with Macross Zero and Frontier...

What's worse is that there WAS a new show done, around the time of these toys. It just happened to be aaaaawful drivel that was cooked up by Harmony Gold, and a massive failure, which probably doomed anything for the future.

How does Harmony Gold manage to miss the mark so badly with Shadow Chronicles? I know a lot of people hate Robotech but I wish they would finish the story. (Like the books did)

How does Harmony Gold manage to miss the mark so badly with Shadow Chronicles? Huh, don't get me started Thanks Quinjester, I didn't know HG was actually planning to do a new TV series of Robotech. I haven't watched the Shadow Chronicles yet, but from the few scenes I've seen I know I won't be impressed by the animation, but if the story is any good I'll give it a try.

I liked the Sentinels episodes from the 80s they added as bonus content better than Shadow Chronicles. And the Alpha and Cyclone are probably two of my all time favorite mech designs EVER.

That's the Megahouse version. Thanks bro. Looks like I slept on that one and the easier version to get is Rand's. Doh!
