Welp, I can join the broken-wings club. Urgh. Finally took the figure out of storage for displaying and yeah, the left wing, right at the joint, snapped right off. I will try getting some rubber cement and see if I can mend it.

Yeah, I applied some Tamiya cement and well, it's not exactly resolving the situation. The wing is toast. It's the connection from the small wing (the part that attaches to the back of honey-comb-face) to the rest of the appendage.
I suspect, it's from the pressure of packing the little box that contains the head and knee parts that was pushing down on the wing.
Looking up replacements online has some scalper asking $200+ for a set. I'll display this gokin without wings. It's fine. I need the room anyways.

I agree the wing takes too much space. Mine are fine, but I never displayed them.
One can glue them in a fixed position, or maybe someone is good enough to built a custom joint for it.
Since those are quite cheap to manufacture, I hate the fact that Fewture don't put those available on their website for the customer.

Yeah, I can see if an old contact I know for fixing toys has a solution (Bill Mahoney)...but, it's not a priority since I'll not really use the wings much anyways. Honey-comb-face is nice on his own toting his BFG.

Your robot still looks awesome, Bro. My Black Shin 1 had the same problem. I bought it on eBay, so I contacted the seller about the issue. He reached out to FEWTURE. They sent him a new pair of wings, which he mailed to me free of charge. I'm pretty sure you purchased this some time ago, but it may be worthwhile to see if the vendor has a solution.
Also, rubber cement is not what you need for this job. I fixed the broken pair with super glue - namely a brand called "Super Jet". It's honestly amazing and it's available on Amazon. You really should pick some up for your, um, undertaking. I disply my Dark Shin 1 with with the repaired set to this day, and they look perfect.
Hopefully this didn't ruin your FEWTURE experience. How do you like the Gokin overall?

How do you like the Gokin overall? Thanks, C. I believe I bought this from Toys2 over in Markham years ago or it's possibly it was from Toy-Wave (I'll have to go through my e-mails to see if it's still in my archives). Still, given my penchant to getting the item and throwing it straight into storage years ago, it's unlikely I'll have a chance since it was so long ago. To your question: It's unfortunate but not a show-stopper. I think the toy is fantastic and while I found it's stability to be a bit problematic due to its weight, it's a non-issue with the included stand. Otherwise, I feel the figure is a faceplant waiting to happen. I'll continue unpacking the other EX Gokins I have and I believe aside from the wings on the Shin Getter, the other releases don't have fragility issues. I think the same crate has Boss Borot, Doublas, and one of the 1901 Mazingers. I'll get around to them soon!

Well, good thing I archive e-mails (being the hoarder and all )...I fired Eric Wong over at Toys2 an e-mail...let's see if he can reach out to Fewture for some wings. Not holding my breath though.

My hunt for new wings ended in failure. I repaired mine with a pin and some glue. It broke in 3 places on the post that holds the 3 wings together. Just had to get the post solid and guerilla glue it together. It has survived 3 moves and 3 car trips without breaking again. I can still pose them and everything.

If you can get the new wings free then your man Eric is a godsend because they sell for over 100 plus shipping. I'm definitely glad mine came with (even though I'd dare not even open them unless the current wings just turned to dust; figure they probably have the same darned issue.)

Eric responded that he can't get the wings in...I'll look to repair them on my own or something.
