I was at a convention this weekend (more details to come), and the woman (Cindy Morgan - www.supercon.tv/media-guests/248-cindy-morgan )who was in the original movie was there. I spoke to her for a bit. She was real nice. She said that fans started a website insisting that she be in the new movie, and the studio caved and added her in, shooting additional scenes. Very cool. She also said that they filmed this before the blue/green screen use. Instead, they shot this in front of a black background, and she had some behind the scene photos. Again, she was very personable and a real pleasure to chat with.

Amazing! And I'll bet she's really happy to be a part of the new Tron project, being the historic original "Tron" icon she is. I wouldn't be surprized if this spawns a TV series, and more Tron toys/collectables. Here's Hoping! zozo-magengar

It seems like they will. Chalk that up to the Modern touch of a classic movie. These figures look interesting, although I'm not gonna go GaGa over them now. But they do seem cool for the price at TRU. Too bad there hasn't been any figures made of the classic Tron movie characters, at least Not that I know of or I may have missed out on them.

Someone feel free to correct, but I think they were either Medicom or Takara that made some microman style/sized figures of the main characters from the movie. Personally, I'm not holding much hope quality/articulation for these new figures, if they're made by american companies though. Everythings softened up and watered down for the US kiddies. Which is fine, just makes them less appealing if you're an adult collector. Will have to go to TRU and get one in hand before making TOO big a decision. LOL! EDIT: Looks like it was medicom.... www.microforever.com/rah100tron.htm

Those Medicom Tron figures and Lightcycles sure look awesome. Yep, those are medicoms alright... the Joe joints look familiar. I can see oldschool hardcore Tron fans going after these if they find them.
