I've hit an interesting benchmark in my robot collecting wish list as Bandai has really stepped up and finally made (or is in the process of making) the last of my big robot wishes that I thought would never get made in a contemporary robot figure line. First was Evil Tekkaman and Tekkaman Blade. I crapped a brick when they announced these two. I just thought there was no way this could happen considering that the only figures ever made of these two were some cheap Korean versions and some dirt cheap model versions. We are talking B-list treatment. Ok, next was Ninja Senshi Tobikage, or specifically Bakuryu the dragon figure. Tobikage did have some decent figures made by Bandai in the 80s, but Tobikage was never a name you saw floated around collecting forums, or at least not often. And last was my wish for affordable and easy to get versions of SRW figures ie. Alteisen and company. It's kind of a bizzarre, ironic twist that all three of these wishes were announced this year. I've always listed these three wishes everytime there's been a "wish list" thread, and suddenly WHAM! Here you go!
So I'm starting to think it pays to wish! Here's my next wish then. Diecast versions of Armored Core figures, specifically Mirage C01-GAEA, White Glint, Mirage C02-Uranus Mavors, Nineball Seraph, Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Unsung and the Zio Matrix ZCL-XA/2. These are my personal faves of the AC line-up and I would love to see these guys get past the model phase and into actual figures. Please Bandai, hear me!!!
Anyway, so what robot figure wishes of yours have you seen come to pass and what are you wishing for now?

As always, I wish for a figure of Dai-Guard in any form (though preferably not Vinyl). Chogokin ideally, of course . The ability to separate and transform is irrelevant - but the various add-on parts like the knot punisher and drill arms would be a must, as would the ability to pull the figure's limbs off As far as realized dreams - even though the quality is a bit shady, CM's Gokin Aestivalises. The Aestivalis is one of those classic robot memories for me, so to have gokin renditions of these made is pretty fantastic. Same with the gokin Patlabor figures for the same reasons.

realized dreams were Masterpiece Voltron and Daitarn 3 SOC. The Voltron is great although they dropped the ball with gimmicks and the Daitarn 3 was pure robot XXX porn sauce for me.
Now I'm wishing for Daltanius, Golion, Orguss and Dairugger gokins.

The SOC Big O was a similar sort of wish-fulfillment for me.
I'm still pulling for a Gekiganger III figure of some sort. He really deserves it, and he would fit in perfectly with every classic robot on collector's shelves. A SOC would be amazing.
I've also been hoping that the mechs from Xenogears and Jehuty from ZOE eventually make it into toy form. I don't think they've gotten any love at all outside of Wonder Fest, and the designs really deserve it, IMO.

Of all the robots out there it was Voltron and Robby the Robot that I new of 1st. My dad bought me a Go-lion back in the 80's that was Great and having X-plus make a diecast version of Robby in 2006 was fantastic.
Now I keep wishing for a full diecast 1/60 or even 1/100 scale Macross VF-1S.

Since it seems that Bandai has outdone (redeemed) themselves with the upcoming SRC Mazinger Z figure, I have only one figure that I MUST SEE get the chogokin/diecast threatment: Dairugger XV. However, it has to be able to separate into the 15 ships and it shouldn't be taller that the Master Piece Voltron. Then, I can rest...
... until a new classic Mazinger Z get made!!!

Alas, this figure is near mythical to me. I've seen it before on this CDX page, but never for sale. I probably couldn't afford it even if I did find one for sale, limited as it seems to be. It's lovely though, and gets mega bonus points for being both retro-y and show accurate. Still, I can't help but yearn for a modern gokin version. I'm not desperate though. About a year ago I picked up a pretty nice finished kit off eBay for ~$15. It was a little broken in spots, but still displays nicely. Not much for dynamic posing, though. Super low quality image go!

I'd like to see many other super-robots and modern mechas in the Bandai MechaCollection model kit line besides the Mazingers, Getter1, Raideen, and ShinMaz. I may not wanna score them ALL, but it would be nice to build kits of other robots like Tetsujin 28 and Golion. I've been really hooked on MechaColles lately since I started building and painting the Maz kit.

Have a few observations:
I love stuff that transforms and combines... I remember how stupid child-like I was when I played with Armada Optimus Prime for the first time. Hardcore Trans-fans seem to hate that character, but his toy was pretty cool (I was like a little kid discovering every little play-feature hidden in his trailer in base-mode, etc).
I also recently (well, the last few years) discovered the joy of accessorizing my bots. I see now why little girls like collecting all those costume sets for their dolls. When the Yamato 1/12 scale stuff went on sale, I bought a whole crap-load of VOTOMS weapons...
Lately I've been loving my KO "Shadow Commander" kit with the Nemesis Prime. Now that I'm enjoying the KO so much, I'm really regretting not getting the legit Fansproject kit when I could. Anyway, can't wait for my Perfect Effect "Shadow Warrior Demolitions" set to arrive to get him all fully armed with the huge gattling guns.
That's to say... my dream toy would be a "city commander" kit to go with Masterpiece Prime... And even better - that it be perfect-transform from trailer to armour. While the Fansproject design for Classics Prime was cool, it was still a big old parts-former. So there - that's my robot wish.

well, today i was jonezing for some K.O. BEAST Totem/Jinn mecha! i could NOT find pics of them on the net at all. I guess i could put the DVD into my computer and do a print screen, but i'd like some CLEAR shots of the art of them. Toys of them would be nice. and are you talking about TekkaMan BLADE? i have a magazine with all these cool drawings of the other TekkaMen from that line, and i would love them as figures. I have some of the model kits, but i think only 4 exist. I have blade, blaster and evil. My friend got Sol. and, AS ALWAYS: MIGHTY ORBOTS!!!

Well, Bandai issued amazing diecast versions of Mecha Godzilla and Gigan under the GD- line. What about a Mecha Ghidorah and Mecha Kong?!?! What the heck - how about also making a Jet Jaguar in a similar scheme?

DANGAIO! If SHE can do it then I see why not Bandai can't make one in diecast and at half the price and Dairugger because I've wanted one since the old Matchbox Voltron version.
