A classic indeed. Who doesn't fall in love with a robot with this combination? As a kid, the folding of the robot's torso & legs during combination is like out of this world.

Someone PS an excellent photo. From toysdaily.com by ajc188. If it ends up looking like that photoshop, I want it.

not to derail this thread but if bandai can do the lion on this then Go - lion / voltron is possible . I need to buy some more cases for all these guys . these big bots take a lot of space , Its getting tight in there.

I'm pretty sure if Bandai wanted too they could make any robot they wanted, they have the pull and money to get any license they want. It's just a matter if they see a market out there for a certain robot. What I've learned after all these years is that the Japanese market is very fickle in their choices, it's like they want old classics, mainstream robots, and oddball ones and depending on the month it shifts from one to another.

Of course its possible....
However, other than keeping the collection uniformly under 1 series I really do not see a need for another diecast go lion/ voltron.
So like the recent Getter 1 release and the future Andromeda release I'd easily skip it with no regrets whatsoever.
I don't think SOC could trump the masterpiece toynami one.
Can't believe I just wrote that for a toynami product, but I think its a fact. Bandai would likely use more plastic parts and shrink it.

I agree. The Toynami Golion/Voltron is pretty much "a Masterpiece". Bandai would surely make it smaller, with a lot less diecast, and way more expensive. However, they probably add shooting heads and missiles gimmick to it...

It would most likely have more advance engineering. The Toynami one is basically just an update of the old Godaikin version so I'm sure Bandai would start with a clean sheet design. Probably find a way to have the lions legs fold into the body so it's more anime correct and maybe have optional head and necks in lion mode so they look better. Besides being just large and having a lot of metal I can still see a lot of room for improvements, still it's the best Voltron/Golion ever right now.

Ahhhh, it's about time! For me, this is the most exciting SOC release since Baikanfu. That photoshopped pic looks awesome!

i hope they dont put this in the src line but for some reason i dislike the src line no offense to other people Why? The figures are downright amazing even though they're smaller and don't have many gimmicks So far the only thing I don't like is the lack of the iron cutters and a flying pilder and brain conder

yes and paying 30+ dollars for something with only diecast legs but in my other opinion they sure look tight!

yes and paying 30+ dollars for something with only diecast legs but in my other opinion they sure look tight! They have diecast in the chest, hip joints, and lower legs. However, the sculpts and articulation are amazing! Revoltechs have ZERO diecast and are only about $10 less. Damashiis are about the same. But I do understand the grief about the size. Almost $50 shipped for a 14CM figure is somewhat expensive. I would definitely love to see the SRCs become SOCs in the future... ;D }D

yes and paying 30+ dollars for something with only diecast legs but in my other opinion they sure look tight! like themazingerz said, it does have more diecast. I preordered mine thinking they would be blah, but I got mine today and I'm in love. They are not what you expect especially if your only experience with them is photos. I will take one SRC over 10 Revoltechs anyday. $30 bux seems darn good considering some plastic figures cost about the same and sometimes even more. The fit and finish is great too Now, back to topic, I hope this Daltanius SOC comes true, at the very LEAST an SRC, but I most definetely like to see a SOC. I cant see how it wont happen

Anyone who actually owns an SRC Mazinger loves it. It's a great toy. I haven't watched or read a bad review for the SRC yet. I have both SRC Mazingers as well and the accessory pack and love them too. Going just by Bandai's Mazinger Z and Great Maz, I can say they are both very poseable and look just as sexy as any SOC. You can knock their size, but really, they're not that small in stature.
I think because SRC is a new line, something new, maybe it is hard for people to like it right away as change can be sometimes hard to accept immediately.
Give them a shot if you have the , coul567. I don't think you'll regret it.

I don't see any reason Daltanias can't be released in both DX (Soc) and ST (SRC) like the old days. I'd of course also love for Bandai to take a clue from CM's and do DX multi-piece sets, like Daltainas! in the old style flat layout buisness/attache case boxes, but SOC's just don't come that way,....sigh..
