So the message is, eBay prices are too high for nice robots, gotta go Japanese market for thos. Now $2,000 yen I think was about $175? Add in shipping and commissions and you are getting close to $250...?

"eBay prices are too high for nice robots" No, you can't say that generally. You find much more vintage robots on Yahoo, but that doesn't mean that the prices are lower. Sometimes you could make "deals" on ebay too. Prices are a bit crazy right now. Again: Keep cool, slow down and watch THE Market BTW 2000 yen are ca. $24 If you buy in Japan you have to keep in mind that you normally could add 10% comission + shipping costs.

I've found yahoojapan purchases run 20% more, in total, with fees, with double shipping, handling, etc. When you get high priced toys overseas then the costs are proportionately less. So I find small purchases are best locally off the bay.....but it all depends

Thanks again, very helpful. What do you guys think of seller toybase_hk. I've gotten a feel for the pricing now of the used loose vintage stuff. So where can I find a big box of loose fists?

Thanks for the info.
I'm already collecting other things (non-robot) so I'll continue to be a budget buyer, but if I can get a better deal that's great!

So where can I find a big box of loose fists? Expect to pay a lot for loose parts. This lot (albeit a pretty large box of parts) sold for about $250 (not counting other costs): That's why you really have to consider whether you really need to complete the figure or can be happy with an incomplete one, or maybe you should just consider buying complete specimens. Its something you need to decide up front, because trying to complete them after the fact can be difficult and costly.

Yeah I've noticed that now, the cost of fists when you can find them is pretty high.

Pretty cool box Myles! Full of Bullmark parts etc Check out the Random Pics gallery - I added another version of this photo, in addition to a ton more. Yeah, there's all sorts of goodness in there, like a Mach Baron fist. I was watching this auction some time back, but it went a *little* out of my range.

All three + extra fist, and it's at $1600 yen at the moment.... $18.93. ... I get it. Not quite - you have to add commission, possible bank fees, exchange rates, domestic shipping (within Japan), and international shipping fees. It gets quite expensive. A 2000 yen toy can easily cost you $40.

My buying has gotten a little random, but I'm wanting Reideen, and some of the Getta robos.
I even see some parts listed on there, that's pretty cool. I see for example some Daltanius DX stuff.
