Use this English site: www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=englishThey only accept paypal. Small item can be SAL, large item will have to go EMS. You can also combine all shipping (but you needs to let them know when you order your items) . Basicly, you order. Then they will email you with the shipping cost, then you pay them in YEN through paypal....and then the magic happen! more info/ here: www.amiami.jp/shop?vgform=SimpleForm&tid=12c0c0e237f&template=e_faq.html&set=english

33435 yen is actually around $414 as of tonight. (Minus any currency fee from paypal or a cc., of course. ) www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi?Amount=33435&From=JPY&To=USD&image.x=29&image.y=11The above is a very useful site to favorite. Amiami is a very good, trustworthy site and despite the currently low dollar value they usually have the lowest prices out of HLJ, Hobbysearch or Angolz. There may well be cheaper prices on individual items but you'd have to dig all over the internet for each one. Amiami is cheaper on a consistent basis. Their communication is excellent, too. Way better than the people at Angolz, who seem like they're mentally challenged or high on paint thinner at times. They do have SAL as an option but I'm not sure what their EMS threshold is. The price for your order will probably be high with shipping but I'm pretty sure it'll be among the cheapest online.

I used to make 95% of my purchases through HLJ, but when Amiami started selling online and shipping outside Japan I completely switched over to them. They are expectacular in prices and their shipping cost is 99.9% identical to HLJ. You can price the shipping cost of single items at the HLJ sire and that will give you a very good estimate of how much it is going to cost you with Amiami. They ship the items very well packed with paper and strong cardboard boxes... unlike Toy-Wave.
I highly recommend Amiami over everyone else.

Amiami is good. Very good discount that is way better than HLJ Early Bird, and is there all the time. Just that their price are so good their stuff sold out fast. In terms of shipping, they do SAL, EMS, or SAL Parcel for stuff that is big and doesn't fit normal SAL size, which is slightly cheaper than EMS. They accept Paypal only, and will send you email requesting payment (need to follow their instructions on sending payment) after confirming your order. They package well, and have no trouble ordering from them so far. The only catch is, they normally don't take cancellation once you ordered. So unlike HLJ, where you can order something early, and has a lot of time to change your mind later. You have to be sure what you want at amiami, or they may black list you if you often cancel or not pay for your orders. Their shipping charge is more than HLJ. With the same SAL shipping on the same item, they charge like a good US$5-7 more than HLJ. However, their good discount is more than making up for that, so total is still quite a bit cheaper.
So now, my preference is amiami > HLJ. But I'll still frequent HLJ as they carry a lot of little things amiami doesn't carry, like modeling stuff, custom parts...etc. Or if things I want is out of stock at amiami.

33,435 will and up about $425 through Paypal, and for those items I'd guesstimate amiami will bill you between 7,000 and 10,000 yen (yes, I'm being serious) for EMS. They'll tell you that SAL is more expensive so don't even bother trying to get that quote.
All told you'll be looking at a bill somewhere in the $510 - $550 range shipped.

Thanks for the additional info you guys... A guy named Ricky Wilson has been answering all of my questions at amiami.com. He answers them quick by the way, I am very impressed. Okay, that name is not very Japanese or Asian Where is this company based? Also, after totaling the SOC prices and shipping... The price almost matches what I would pay if we order from BBTS. We've been ordering with BBTS for years and have been happy with them. Any thoughts?

Have purchased from AMI AMI several times, lousy after sale support. There are a few Japan online retailers with better service and same discounted prices. Won't deal with again. Of course , they reply before sale, after that, good luck!

I love amiami and order from them regularly. They have recently improved their shipping box with better fit and sturdier boxes!
On a side note, I hate having to go through paypal for payment to amiami. I hate paypal. I paid for the Kotobukiya Ingram 2 today, and this is from paypal:
"PayPal Conversion Rate as of Feb 8, 2011: 1 U.S. Dollar = 79.8521 Japanese Yen"
It's the first time EVER that I've seen a conversion rate lower than 80. FYI, the official currency conversion rate RIGHT NOW is 1 USD to 82.325 JPY. Say goodbye to the 2.5 JPY for every dollar you spend.

Believe it or not, Paypal has one of the lowest conversion rates out there. Credit Cards usually charge way above 3 JPY per dollar...

It's one of the reasons why I got a Capital One Venture card - no foreign transaction fees. Really?!!! I'm gonna have to get me one of those. Even if Amiami doesn't take it, at least I can use it with HLJ... Thanks for the info! }D
