BTW, I just remembered when the last time I actually saw this Gundam was.. 2004 when we were shooting toys for Super #1 Robot at my house in Seattle! Tim's photo looks much better than the one I just took.

Oh, and BTW Erik, any chance you got a pic of the inner Gundam tray, or the instruction book contents list? Just trying to help figure out what other parts might me missing from the set Myles got.
You're lucky my boy. I actually took pics of the instructions prior to wrapping it back up and returning it to the archives...
Doesn't show the contents unfortunately. Mine have all the weapons in the slots. Two sets of tree missies red (long/short). 3 wheel attachments for the core fighter as well as a yellow fin and blue nose extension/missile, silver staff connector, sticker sheet and instructions.
You guys got me going here!! OK, here's the DX Tryder set. Mine is MIB with the unfortunate exception of a torn sticker on the abdomen.. F U C K!!! Anyway, this toy is HEAVY!!! A true thing of beauty.. The pics are from my iphone (sorry).. Enjoy!

Here's the SD, and the Basic Fundamental Clover was kinda wacky with all their bots in so many very close sizes, but totally different toy.
SD has more details molded
Do NOT mess with Diogia Basic Fundamental's chrome blingity-bling. Even though his chest details are just a sticker.
Sweet! The SD version is what i had as a child, i rembered that it did not have much diecast (strangly, at that age, i am already very fond of diecast toys ), that is extremely playable and durable, had hours of fun with its rocket punches, and it survived countless trips to the sandbox ;D too bad my childhood toys seems to mysteriously disappear as i grew up
WOW - I love how they have his name (Tryder, I mean) imprinted in the styrofoam. That's the only one I've seen like that, though most of my toys come loose. Ha!
So how does this Tryder stack up to the other Tryders in terms of size? Is this larger than the DX? Is the bird one the same as the DX with just the extra accessory? And the smaller spaceship / Tryder combo set? So many different sets, but I assume that there are only three basic body types (not counting the minis and stuff) - the ST, the DX, and the transforming one. Is this correct?
Be sure to check out the recent updates at www.robot-japan.com/ including new articles and gallery items.

"the ST, the DX, and the transforming one. Is this correct?"
Yes, the official "DX" is kind of crappy, it's the one that was used with the bird as well. This one is only available in the "Kanzen 7 Henkei Gattai ("Completely Transforming 7 Combination")" as well:
What a cool set. Erik, man, you are very fortunate to own this!
Yeah man, I love it. I don't see them often for sale either. Odd, as the show was pretty popular. The pics I took really don't do it justice though. The whole torso is matte and gloss diecast and has that jeweled clear blue chest cover. Just a beautiful toy.
And, yes Dyl, I agree with you. Best thread of 2010~!!

KumaStyle.com (TJ): Well any "popular" collectibles revolve around a certain amount of hype but I think at this point Pops have even outlasted the amount of time beanie babies were a thing and I think the seemingly endless licenses will keep them afloat for some time because

KumaStyle.com (TJ): realistically they're diverse as hell, I personally just wish that convention vendors would vary things up a bit more.
Jul 23, 2019 22:51:38 GMT -5
mojacko: i doubt the value will sky rocket when the hype dies out.
Jul 24, 2019 13:57:52 GMT -5
KumaStyle.com (TJ): That pretty much goes for the second hand value of anything.

KumaStyle.com (TJ): Actually, yes; we're in the process of moving out of our home and it's valued now at significantly more than what we paid. Obviously there are a million and one variables and just like collectibles things like care and the like factor in.

mojacko: Did anyone get the new Jetfire? Hard to find one here in Canada, never mind found one in TRU website.

mojacko: Hey Kuma, did you heard about the new youtube policy regarding videos geared to kids & toys?
Sept 30, 2019 9:54:36 GMT -5
mojacko: Apparently toys related videos will no longer have likes, comments & notifications.
Sept 30, 2019 9:55:06 GMT -5
mojacko: limited ads as well
Sept 30, 2019 9:55:11 GMT -5
mojacko: Im so confused as my channel will be affected
Sept 30, 2019 9:55:36 GMT -5
KumaStyle.com (TJ): Mojacko yea I'd heard about it but never really looked into it. From what I know it's videos that you choose to designate as "for kids" meaning you have a choice whether or not to check that box.
Sept 30, 2019 22:51:58 GMT -5
mojacko: So are you still going to make vids on youtube
Oct 1, 2019 7:29:13 GMT -5
KumaStyle.com (TJ): DX VF-1A is absolutely awesome. Wasn't going to jump on it but since it was still available at retail said screw it.

KumaStyle.com (TJ): Also have the Strike Freedom Soul Blue MB coming Monday. Very hyped.

KumaStyle.com (TJ): Mojacko... I'm confused by your question; why would I stop? I'd suggest looking up the youtube changes so that you can get the details first hand. If you have any questions about what's going on after by all means PM me.
