I may start looking for one of these soon. I just got the ga-100 gundam, and I definitely think that this is the nicest if the clover gundam toys.

Sal, Can we get a picture of the inside of this package? Is it a foam tray and does it come with the huge amount of parts and accessories that the clover Japan and goldwell Taiwan version come with? Is that box completely in English? Is that an Italian, Korean, Taiwan, or American release, or something different altogether? I have only seen that box version a few times and never really learned anything about it.

I love these Clovers, but it's hard to find info on them. This thread is about the most informative source out there. They seem to have made so many slightly different but totally different variants of everything. Anyway, specifically I need to know a few things - 1. How big is the Zambot combination Jr figure? 2. How hard to get are the two larger Tryder sets - the ones with the separate heads?
And how much can I expect to pay for the above - and the huge Zambot set as well?
Info will be greatly appreciated, and will be repaid with some pictures very soon....
Thanks all!

I am pretty sure that it comes with all the accessories, only crammed in rather than spread out like with the other boxes. I have pics somewhere, if Sal doesn't get to respond.

As to pricing, I seem to be off these days, so I won't offer info. Just expect to pay a lot for all of those mentioned, more so for the giant Zanbot.

Thanks. Yeah - I know these are pricey... And I guessed the Zambot jr was, well, junior sized. I was trying to get a handle on how much he combined... Is he like the GA Voltes compared to the DX, or is he a genuine mini-combiner... And as for the tryders, there seem to be big sets with small figures, small sets with big figures... It's tough to get real side-by-side comparisons! Anyway, I guess I'll find out in due course.

The Zambot combo Jr. doesn't really combine much. Basically, the Zambo Ace just fits into a chest cavity of the Zambot robot, and a larger head fits over the Zambo Ace's head. This is similar to the DX too, although the DX can separate into the vehicles. The combo Jr. just lays down to form a vehicle. As to Tryder size comparisons, Ed provided nice comparison photos here (unfortunately not a huge size difference between the various toys): www.robot-japan.com/item/tryder-henki-gattai.html

That Tryder comparison is perfect. Thanks for the link. And I think I suspected those differences between Zambot Jr and Sr. Rather fortunately, all 3 of these are on their way to me right now, hence my pre-natal interest!

So this is a quick pic of what was a good month... Granted I already had the Dai X and Volt, but amassing this lot was awesome!

Not too shabby man, very nice!! When did you get the buildplan?

Ah....Buildplan....he's been sitting in his new home for about 3 weeks now. He was the one I wanted the most, and as is so often the case ended up being a little disappointing..... I expected far less from the U Combine Combatra, and consequently he became the favorite. For now...

I've never seen a buildplan in person, so i wouldn't know, but i am guessing since they are quite uncommon you have to take 'em as you find 'em.
How do you like the DX Daioja?
I have two boxed examples of the American "KO" by Overlook Toys (Magnatron). One is incomplete, the other is dead stock unused complete. Really a nice toy, but I think I'd like it a little more if my version had the extra chest symbols and the yellow head crest. Also the head on the blue guy is different.
But still, amazed that I found TWO of them, almost back to back and for absolutely amazing prices! Very obscure in general and an unexpected find for me.

I know what you mean about Buildplan - I'd never seen a real one until I got one. And don't get me wrong, he's totally awesome, but like anything that's become almost mythical, he can't possibly live up to it! As for Diojia - he's great. As you know, he's mainly plastic with just some nominal diecast, but he's fun to assemble and makes a very satisfying combiner. The individual robots are clunky looking though - he definitely looks like he was designed from the combined version backwards. It's been a great month getting these guys - the culmination of a lot of waiting, a lot of research, and a lot of work. I'm in a dilemma now though...my collection might actually be finished after 20 years or more...

Wow, you really went to town! Some top tier stuff. Poor wallet.

The sweetest part is that the wallet didn't even feel it... I sold a bunch of stuff if had in boxes in the garage for a few years. That bolstered the PayPal account, and the whole sell/buy episode was entirely self-funded. The numbers were eye-watering, so I had to view $ as 'tokens', and the toys as tangible investments. Worked for me!

Nice! I'm most jealous of that large Zambot. Gotta add one to my collection one of these days.

He is way cool...but the Zambot Combo Jr is possibly even cooler...smaller and more dense. I still can't believe I finally got all these guys!
