I doubt a Prime as they just did the "Last Prime". Even if they did a recolor, I think it would just tick off most collectors. I am betting Galvatron, but that price does seem high for just him. UM trailer would be nice, but I highly doubt we will ever see one unless it is 3rd party.

My guess is the same as the Leader Class IronHide Hasbro version like what they did for the Movie BumbleBee and Starscream. But the price is way too high. Maybe something else.

BBTS does say they were told it's a new figure and not to expect a repaint so that's promising. The price is BBTS's typical jack up so Japanese retailers will likely go around $200. For that price I think we're getting Ultra Magnus, I can't think of anything else that could go for that price while still being in the realm of the other MPs (not expecting Omega Supreme or anything like that). I could see them doing a new and improved, smaller "Optimus" body in scale with Rodimus that they can later repaint into an actual Optimus Prime figure. Considering it would be more complex that Rodimus I think the higher price fits Ultra Magnus perfectly. Of course, it could be something entirely unexpected like a Victory Saber 2-pack or Star Convoy or even Ginrai. How about Soundwave and an army of tapes? My guest is the same as the Leader Class IronHide Hasbro version like what they did for the Movie BumbleBee and Starscream. But the price is way too high. Maybe something else. Move Masterpiece is a different line with different numbers. Emerje

I am also leaning towards this being a new ultra magnus. All new smaller mold, totally different from the MP-01, ultra magnus with trailer that will have a better way to connect to a trailer armor upgrade. Perhaps that's why takara was trying to stop the sales of 3rd parties because they don't want competition from igear. Igear was supposed to come out with some type of magus trailer that works with their old mini MP-01 mold.
Bbts does mark up the price but the announcement from takara is that this one will cost 22000 yen. That's more than 250 in conversion now.

Well I do remember seeing an animation of a variation of the MP01 mold that had a new type of shoulder. It had an armor that look sort of Fansproject inspired. I am curious if that could be anything like it.

Well I do remember seeing an animation of a variation of the MP01 mold that had a new type of shoulder. It had an armor that look sort of Fansproject inspired. I am curious if that could be anything like it. Well the day that takara made an announcement on the MP-10 and we get rumors that igears PP-04 is the magnus trailer. Coincident? And apparently this time, igear has ripped off the design from a kitbasher. See link for more info. www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/rumour-igear-pp04-mp-magnus-armour/21369/But these are just rumors so far.

) It is not the same scale as the MP-01, and totaly new mold, and come with trailer and roller.
2) Suggest retail 22000 yen
3) Release Date End Sep 2011
there you have it, although we were hoping for an entirely new Masterpiece figure this is kinda cool, the only question is how are they going to improve on what some collectors still consider the best Masterpiece ??

If it turns out to just be a new Prime with a new trailer then it's an easy pass and I'll just wait for Hasbro to do one without a trailer. I don't display the trailers, just just go in a box so paying so much for a figure that gets half of it's price from a big plastic box on wheels that I'm never going to display is a major turn off.
I guess that does go along with the hint from the MP-1L sound stage.

If these rumors are true it makes sense, MP-01 was designed for a different era which has changed now with the way the economy and manufacturing in China has changed. It belongs in the same category as the old Godaikins where you could make large heavy toys like this.
As for iGear the rumors about them stealing a kitbashers idea for the Ultra Magnus armor/trailer I think is untrue. For one thing that armor although a great piece of custom work really didn't turn out that well and didn't incorporate any ideas anybody couldn't design themselves and certainly it is not reflective of how a production line quality toy would turn out. Besides I'm pretty sure the famous customizer "wheeljack" has been helping out on designs. Also on iGear's Facebook profile they left a cryptic message saying "nothing will change, everything will change" when it came to Takara/Hasbro clamping down on 3rd party makers. This tells me that either Takara/Hasbro has either given up their lawsuits or made a deal with iGear and other 3rd party producers, perhaps some kind of licensing deal. Either way iGear has confirmed another PP project coming out in the middle of May, it will be Autobot related and like many I assume it will be the trailer/armor for Magnus.

Seriously?? I hope it's more than just Prime in another scale. I'm still hoping for Galvatron, Soundwave or Star Saber.

Can we rename this thread to "MP-10 available for pre-order now with rumours and speculation for free?" Unless there's some an "official" press release by TakaraTomy, it's all just rumours and speculation. It's going to be a tough sell if it's "another" Optimus Prime. TakaraTomy better make sure it has all the bells and whistles if it's going to convince me to buy it.

If they have more advanced transformation and a more dynamic bot mode, I might be interested. The THS02 was pretty awesome, less the truck mode. If they found sort of a mix between these two, and maybe the new comic prime, color me interested.

I can see a smaller Prime with trailer but with a ton of accessories like Roller, a jet pack, and the usual stuff. But till we get official confirmation it's all just hearsay and speculation. Personally I would still rather have the rest of the Dinobots before anything else.

They did the LAST PRIME so how come so many people are saying "I can see another Prime." LOL
Personally, i'll slit my wrists if I see on more mold of Prime. I think 12739821731 is enough for gods sake. I dont even want to see an Ultra Magnus. I want another decepticon, Galvatron would be awesome or i'd die for a Soundwave with all his tapes... GIANT tapes!? sick.

Don't say that, man . Nobody here wants to see you die. And the "LAST" prime was the "LAST" version of that prime mold. Real slick, Tomy. Reeeeeal slick. This is going to be another Prime.

So wait, the people putting up preoders know the amount they will charge and have been told how much it weighs but not what it is? I'm thinking that all that preorder info isnt at all accurate and will change when the toy has actually been annonced. They probably just put all that info on to start pre orders and will be updated when they actually get word.
