Are the mixer truck and wheel loader towing the arm extension there? Cool! Looks like Maketoys has gone the FansProject way to make every additional attachments functional in other alt modes as well.
Also love the take on not-Long Haul. Dump bed as shoulder shields? Awesome! Well, every other robot modes with the exception of not-Mixmaster are good as well! Don't really like that "hood" over his head.

I have to admit, the robot modes do look cool. And I appreciate that Not-Mixmaster has the same "hood" that his G1 version did... it's cool!

But with improvements to the other bot modes, how can they not choose to improve the head on this one? Well, this is just my personal preference. At least they did not choose to replicate how G1 Scavenger looks ;D

For me i intend to get both versions from TFC and MakeToys. As per individual robot mode, i prefer the TFC version. For combined mode i prefer both but i must admit that Maketoys is better G1 accurate. What TFC has offered is a rendition of their own by making it really huge and astonishingly unique, something really worth keeping and displaying. I guess Maketoys version is affordable than TFC. It's good to know that both Maketoys and TFC has rendered something that makes a collector feel happy and contented.

Huh, that actually does look pretty nice. It will be cool to have this one and TFC's then so i'd have a G1 and a G2 colour Devi standing side by side.

Those do look pretty good plus I love the more realistic vehicle designs compared to the TFC versions. They also did go for the CAT color scheme like I suggeted which really does work for these designs. I am sure they will release a more traditional G1 color scheme but it would be nice if they would confirm it. Plus at 10,500YEN for a two pack the price ain't too bad.

Oh man! These reminds me so much of the construction "diablocks" (Japanese lego wannabe) I used to get as a kid! Down to the safety stripping too ;D Not too keen on the label of the vehicles tho

Seeing the colour photos doesn't change my mind about having correctly chosen to go with TFC's version. Maybe (just maybe) some day in the future, when I have the extra money I'll get it too. Firstly... the comments on the TFW2005 thread make me laugh a bit - especially the folks who say Hercules is too big and that he's not "in scale." Scale? This is Transformers we're talking about. This is the line where Optimus Prime is clearly taller than most other Autobots but his G1 toy was the same size as most other regular Autobots cars. This is the series where Huffer, a mini-bot, took over pulling Prime's trailer. This is the line where Motormaster is supposed to be Prime's rival (they played chicken once!) but his toy was a freaking gobot-by comparison. And Devastator? He kicked Smokescreen once like a ball... That means Scrapper alone should have towered over regular Autobots... but as we all know, the original Constructicon toys were tiny - about half-way between regular Diaclones and mini-bots. If anything G1 Devastator was actually TOO SMALL. Secondly, I agree - some of those stickers look real funny. Reminds me of those Chinatown toys like a jet fighter that would say, "jet fighter" on the side. Or maybe "car" (on the side of a car, of course). Other than that - I do like the yellow colour. Kind of wish Hercules was offered in yellow. I was out running around my neighbourhood Sunday morning and passed a construction site and all I could think was, "hey look, it's Scrapper and Scavenger hanging out." Lastly, I just noticed something about the price... 10'500 yen translates into about $135USD. Am I the only one who notices that this works out to about $450 all in for the set? Which, isn't that much different than TFC's offering. Assuming the prices don't change at Robot Kingdom, Hercules will cost a mere $30 more in the long run.

Devastator is meant to be huge. I don't much care for the look of the Maketoys version, having seen the color pics. I like the shade of yellow, quite a lot, actually, but the look of the figures in vehicle mode looks ... too toy-ish? The way the printing is on there makes it look cheap, and the big gap on the underside of the excavator with the peg is jarring, even more so than the TFC fake construction vehicle designs. I'm going to continue holding out for a yellow release of the TFC set, I guess . I hope they pick a yellow that's as nice and rich as the TFC version.
