Hmm a factory tour is probably unlikely to happen if what they are making is licensed and if they hsve an agreement with the company to not allow people behind the scenes. But hey you never know, let us know what comes of it, I've alwaus wanted to know.

Not a chance that you'll get into a manufacturing facility. Frankly I'd say that you should be happy about that. It might be difficult to enjoy your toys afterwards.

Unless you have huge bu$ine$$ with the manufacturer, I really do not believe they will let you pass their showroom, if they even have one. ;D

If you really want to see how diecast is made, there is a video on youtube of how they make diecast nascar cars. They go through the design process and tampo printing.
I myself was dabbling in the chogokin making business, however, its not as fun as one would think. I got so far as getting the weapons and lower half of body 3D'd. I wanted to get video of the process done up, but even in this small business, they were very protective of their processes.
...after a 1/2 hour of looking I cannot find the darn video...sux cause it really showed a lot of what goes on in making diecast toys.

Hah, yeah, I was practically body tackled when I tried to take pictures inside the tampo printing facility at our factory in Japan. Trade secrets are serious business in manufacturing.
