Waiting for Amiami to send me the pay request for these. They have it in stock already but are currently on vacation or something. Gonna finally have a Gaogaigar figure. The CM and the Max Factory. there were so many times that I wanted to pull the trigger and buy it but didn't because something else came about and honestly just too much. This one is price just right. And doesn't take up a half of the display area.

I got my payment request from Amiami last week. I have to say that the Victory Set #3 Dimension Pliers and the Overload effect are an easy pass for me. I never liked the pliers concept to begin with and the green flame is all sorts of tacky IMO. I figured the King J-der is not going to be released for sale, but that would be one that I would get, even if I had to get it via a proxy service. It looks great!

Since the main src thread has been locked I'll just post here Regarding the multiple threads for src I think it's a good idea and will really make it better organized. But all this will be rendered moot and pointless because browsing through tons of back pages is also tedious when looking for a particular thread. To simplify things, perhaps the mods can take the seperation of threads to another level and just make a sub forum here in the modern gokins thread like a sub forum for bandai soc, bandai src, fewture gokins, cms gokins, aoshima gokins and what have you, and with each of those forums hosting the particular threads of particular gokin releases, including the checklists and extra items threads. I think it will really be helpful for a lot of folks trying to look for old info, but I do agree that it might take a lot of work reorganizing the old threads into the sub forums. Just throwing in some suggestions. ;D Back on topic, tmz regarding the materials for src ggg, what I meant was I was surprised to find out how bandai went the extra mile in terms of the look for this figure. Like the cabs of the trains, If you would look closely they even used some clear plastics for the driver windows on the trains instead of just simply painting them, How I wish they did that too for the maz hover pileders and brain condors cockpits. This guy is looking pretty spiffy, and the sell outs online proves that this will be an outstanding src release.

@mastermechaj, so why does amiami wait to the end of the month for the payment request? I have something that was pushed back, the comic XO figure to the end of the month. Maybe that is the reason for the delay for the late payment request.

Yeah, Amiami ships your stuff once a month when all your orders with them are complete. So if you have anything you're waiting on, you'll have to email them and ask them to ship separately. I'm waiting on my ship request from HLJ, too....

I've shopped with Amiami since the day they opened up for international business, and they never wait for all my items to come in in order to ship everything at once (I'm in the U.S. so that might be why?). Amiami ships me the stuff the next day after I pay for it. HLJ, on the other hand, takes it sweet time to ship my orders after I have made the payment, regardless if I request EMS or SAL.

This will be my very first of the SRC line. I simply couldn't pass on GGG. I may yet need to order Choryujin as well.
Still waiting on a ship notice from Amiami too!
Of course I'll have to do a nice pic barrage when it arrives! ;D

The nice thing is that, if you have a pre-order coming in at the end of the month, you can order an in-stock item and tell them to ship it with the pre-order, thus holding it for you without requiring payment.

I thought the bigger the box the more expensive to ship, even hobby link japan breals up shipments of the same order in multiple boxes to save on shipping. do you know how much do you save with amiami shipping everything in one box? with hlj I have seen sal shipping of a big box being more expensive than ems!

It varies. Amiami has only a couple of box sizes that they use for everything, so if you order two smallish items and ship them separately, you can get dinged for a fairly large box twice over vs. a single box that holds both items.
There is a certain size and weight limit where SAL approaches the cost of EMS, it's true. At this point it is not worth shipping SAL and amiami will outright tell you as much, and change your shipping method over. It's a gamble, really. If I know I'm going to buy something large that will need a large box, I will try to add other small things in, because I know that they'll fit inside the shipping container without adding much weight, which allows me to balance the overall shipping cost over multiple items that would cost more to ship alone.

I have received all sorts of items in all sorts of boxes from AmiAmi, from a small box with Revoltech Joints, pliers, and starage containers (tiny box), a really big one with the Neo Jumbo Shin Mazinger, and a gargantuan box with the Kotobukiya 1/144 Dygenguar model kit. They pretty much have the same sizes, if not more, than HLJ does. Another thing that I have notice with AmiAmi is that on many occassions, they have paid more for shipping than what they have actually charged me. Not just once or twice, but almost every other time they've shipped me stuff. HLJ never, EVER, did that for me...

Look, all I'm saying is that they'll definitely combine orders, okay? And I've definitely requested that they add an item to an order that they've already given me a shipping quote on, and it barely raised the shipping cost. That's a flat out fact. This conversation is getting more and more off topic regardless.

That's fine, I'm just stating my shipping experiences with AmiAmi which seem to differ from yours. No need to get all bent out of shape about it. And yes, they do combine stuff if you ask them...

well i dont know what thats all about. but yes I request that all my order come out at the end of the month to save on shipping. I usually order an average of 10 figs a month... they range from action figures to model kits of varying sizes.... I pretty much get the same size box every time witch is relatively large. While its possible they use a smaller box they pack it very well with packing so I dont mind much. And yes you can easily add figures to your orders just send an email before you pay for your current order within the time limit.
I also have no problem canceling items with amiami despite their statements. I do beleive this is due to my being a valued customer since i spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars with them each month lol.
It is also true they ship within a day or two of paying unlike HLJ who can wait almost a week before they even ship......... I think if i pay for ems they should process my order immidiately.
The only downside to amiami is that they dont offer a real time view of your orders or order history. So it can be very easy to miss an item or order doubles. you can request invoices which they are pretty quick at providing (about a day or so) but still I like to view it anytime I want. Oh well I love them! lol

Yeah, I asked only because I haven't gotten a payment request for the src gaogaigar. I don't remember asking for combine shipment, but maybe it was defaulted because I did add multiple item during the time I pre order this SRC. The figure that was push back and was supposed to be released in July, so instead of getting it with Cybuster, it should be added to this Gaogaigar. And that orchid seed Comic XO figure, boy is it nice. She uses a band-aid to cover her private part (down there) up. Much like Yoko from Gurren Lagann.
