Theoretically, sure, but how will you get the elbow joints to change places? It's not just a simple unscrew and swap, you'd have to bust the bicep halves apart and go direct for the elbow. The GGG's bicep is painted white while it's silver for the GFG so you can only work with the main elbow itself. Thanks Actionawesome. Gold if GaoFighGar has the same arm assembly, yes, it IS as easy as unscrew and replace...except it's more like Unpeg and Peg. it seems like GaoFighGar's arm assembly is about the same...so it might work. Lol! Holy cow! I didn't think it was like that. Thanks, will try to see if it's the same with the GFG later. Thanks! Gold

Great review as always gold, is it possible you could take a picture of the elbow pegs of both GGG and GFG to see the difference?. i just got a some weeks ago my SRC GaoGaiGar, althougt the one i got is the first version, interesting the joints of his legs are super tight which he can hold the legs pose just great as well the white color looks more uniform. the drills on his knees look some what yellowish but still retain that orange look. so if im gonna track down the goldion hammer might as well track 2 instead for future modification.

I just opened my SRC Gaogaigar and Fighgar and... I'm kinda disapointed. Is it me or are these the worst molds for those figures to date? The legs are either too big or the upper portion is way too small. I mean, is it me? I just look at my other Gao figures and the proportions seem so wrong to me on these 2. Hell! The waist on Fighgar is higher that that of Genesic but the figure is actually shorter than Genesic?!?! Anyone else feels the same way?

I think they are pretty good. GaogaiGar, Genesic GGG, and GaoFighGar are totally different mechas in the anime. So, they don't have to share the same dimensions/sculpt. They are not like the four Ryu brothers, who share the same symetri. }D

They're not too bad. The thighs on GGGG do look a bit odd and oversized when you pose it next to the GGG and GFG. But that's the way the Genesic's drawn in the show. I guess it's all perspective? I personally found the Kaiyodo figures really oddly proportioned, the Yujin Figures too skinny. I think the most decent though are the CM's Master Action figures but the only way to grab the best ones is from the DVD set. Droutmaster, congrats on getting a good ver 1 GGG. The figure can hold standing poses no problem and aren't really wobbly, but if the groin joints are weak when you attach the Star Parts, it might tend to fall backwards if not posed with 2 feet properly planted on the ground. It will also be unable to hold kicking/goose-stepping poses too. But good to hear that at least not all ver 1 GGG have the issue. On the issue of swapping the bicep-elbow pegs on GGG and GFG so that GFG can plug into Goldy Marg. No luck guys. The GGG peg is thicker than the GFG. So it won't be able to plug into the GFG bicep. Darn...well, was worth a shot.
also, Version 1 GGG has some...iffy paint apps, and I want you to lift its skirts and look at the hips carefully. if they have a gap, then it's a version 1 common issue...otherwise, my copy is defective.

Sorry bro, my version 1 doesn't have paint flaws anywhere, other than the mismatching whites. OF course, it does have weak hip joints now... }|

I think they are mostly sold out by now. However, Amazon (Bluefin) might get some?

Hmmm... starting to feel like I wasted $100 bucks. And for the record, my custom Repli GGG is more anime accurate paintwise than the Tamashii Exclusive version Repli GGG. }D

Hi all, here's a short review on the Super Robot Chogokin Tamashii Exclusive Repli-Gaogaigar Broken Phantom! Protect Wall! Plasma Hold! Ul-Tech engine inside the Space Boosters. Hell and Heaven! Hell and Heaven effects parts. These don't really hold on that well or lock into place. They just sort of "hang" on GGG/GFG's thumbs and can fall off with the slightest tap. Still the effect is very, very nice. We finally get to recreate the Repli-GGG and Gaofighgar showdown! Comparison with SRC regular GGG Lighter Linear Gao windows. Lighter shade of gold on the drills Lol.. we now know Repli-Galeon is "evil" 'coz of the evil eyeliner The Dividing Driver! (GGG Final version) Unlike the original, the newer model is launched as 2 seperate units. Thus, it's technically a new "Key of Victory". Gattling Driver! More details on the Dividing Driver and Gatling Driver gaogaigar.wikia.com/wiki/Dividing_Drivergaogaigar.wikia.com/wiki/Gatling_DriverThe Good-Weighs 303 Grams. -Diecast parts seem to the same as the SRC GGG. -I didn't experience and problems with the groin joints here, unlike the SRC GGG version 1.0 . So it goes to say that they used the 2.0 figure base. -Hell and Heaven Effects parts are a nice "bonus" The Bad-Surprisingly, this set does NOT come with the optional, soft, "bendable" helmet crest, cutting costs, Bandai? -Like the original SRC Star GGG, you still can't equip the Phantom Ring together with the Broken Magnum effects parts at the same time. You just can't. So, technically, the toy can't be posed 100% with "show accurarcy". Same goes for Protect Ring and Protect Wall. Ah, well.. I guess it's forgivable since it would require some all-new tooling (and raising the costs). The UglyNothing really bad to report here. Overall, not bad. Although, while technically a different character, it is still a simple repaint with a few bonuses thrown in for measure. So you're "value for money" may vary. Me? I've been acclimatized to "different color/different character" over the years by Hasbro and Takara. Gold

Very good review indeed. And so, another robot joins the "wishlist club" hehe. It's just a repaint but, as you said, it would look good next to a SRC GaoFighGar

Another awesome review by Gold! =) TaurusOxford - Now that you mentioned it, I have a feeling Bandai will release repli GaiGar as a tamashi web release either as a standalone or with the Star GGG parts.

Thanks Guys Nice review Gold. I wonder how long we'll have to wait for the inevitable SOC Repli-GGG recolor? Just curious though, can you really not use the protect shade effect part with the wall ring attached? It looks like there would be enough clearance for it judging from the pictures. I tried fiddling with it for a few minutes and I gave up. The problem was the Protect Wall "Effect part" is a bit too thick in the fingers area and was pushing against the Protect Ring. Maybe I was doing it wrong? But it just wouldn't come together for me. I totally agree, Bandai's definitely going to maximize the molds and roll out SOC RepliGGG and Golden Destroyer GGG one day.
