I've seen this snot colored Parallax figure all over town, and they don't seem to be going anywhere. I can't imagine who would buy this except the most dedicated of fanboy toy collectors. I have to chuckle to myself every time I see it because it's just so hideous. I mean seriously, what were they thinking?

What's wrong with people these days? Yes, I must confess... there have been "things" that I have seen come out of my child's a$$ that have looked very much like this toy, and I knew at these times, that it was I alone who was facing "the beast". I was afraid, I was VERY afraid.

I don't need to make a joke about how "crappy" the movie this toy is based on, do I?

Or the other way around? Man, where is National Geographic when you need them! ;D I I'm still guessing it's a poop left behind by some toy producing creature that is yet undocumented in the world of science.

Well, we are among the very few qualified professionals in this complex science. It's tough row that we hoe... but we do it damn it! We have to do it! For the sake of all mankind and the survival of existence itself, it is up to us!

I enjoyed the Green Lantern movie a heck of a lot more than the Captain America Movie. Nothing Cap did was amazing and super hero like and the back ground story bored me to sleep. What happen to the Cap that can survive a chopper copter falling on him, escaping without a scratch like in the intro of Marvel v Capcom 3.

I didn't see the GL movie, but I have to agree that the Capt America one was pretty boring indeed. Thor was no better either. I definitely enjoyed the animated Marvel movies and series (Hulk vs Thor, Thor Tales of Asgard, Avengers) a lot more than the live action ones. I guess the same applies to DC, huh...

I liked Captain America, but I have to admit that I enjoyed the nods to the WWII culture and era in general, which if I wasn't into that historical flavored aspect, it would likely be somewhat dull.
But, of all the super hero movies this year, X-Men First Class was by far my favorite.
I was bummed out by GL. I had really high expectations for this movie because of everything that's been done with the comic book over the last ten years, but the movie seemed to skip all the more in-depth aspects, and go for more of a live action cartoon. It wasn't like it was boring or anything, and it had some fun moments, but I knew exactly what was going to happen throughout the movie... so

I am really unfamiliar with Green Lantern at all, so the story was all new to me. It works for casual viewes like me. Other than knowing that he is part of the JLA and uses a green ring to make objects, I didn't even know that the lantern charges the ring. But at the same time, I also know very little about Captain America. I know some of the back story, the super serum and that he is the leader of the Avengers, but not much more than that. It wasn't because of the time era. That the movie was set in. It is just the story wasn't interesting to follow. Thor origin was another that I don't know much about but at least with that one, I can at least feel that he is Super Human and there was some amazing fight scenes. With Cap, he just wasn't amazing at all. Cap can't fly, although he is supposed to run fast, but it was showcased poorly. He is supposed to be strong, but it really didn't show. Perhaps if he could rip open a tank with his bare hands or something, I would of been impressed. Not one of the fight scenes were memorable or amazes in anyway.
I agree with the X-Men First Class movie being the best comic adaptation movie for 2011. Pretty much all of the X-men movies were all good, except of the 3rd one. Wolverine Origins was my favorite out of all of them.

I'm a comics geek and I hated the GL film... but not because of the material. I found it didn't flow properly as a film. There were bad decisions all around that didn't make sense from a story-telling perspective. One thing that drove me mad, for example, was that none of the fights ever "end." For example - Hector Hammond is revealled to be evil (he's a known comic book villain so I'm not spoiling anything) - he and GL have a fight in a lab... but at one point GL is knocked out... but so is Hammond. But instead of both of them waking up and continuing the fight, it's like they decided to just call a time-out and come back next round. WTH!? That doesn't make sense. These are two opponents fighting for their lives and they just cooperate and quit? ; There were a few other instance where it seemed like the movie just cut to a different scene and things didn't wrap up properly but that's the one that bugs me the most. As for Captain America - well... I guess you can't account for the character. He's an enhanced human - but that's all. As you can tell by the story in the film (which is very accurate to the comics, by the way) he doesn't have any super powers. He's just a really tough guy. If you dislike that about the character, then there's nothing I can say that will make you enjoy the film. I for one, enjoyed the film, but do think they could have showed more action. I didn't like that the best action scene was just a montage showing him fighting in World War 2... that was kind of dull. I wish they had shown the montage followed an important mission from beginning to end to indicate that time was indeed passing and that he was getting better and better with his enhanced strength and speed. Instead they jump right to that train scene (which I also disliked)... it's like they said, "okay, everybody knows Bucky will die so let's just get that over with." Lame.

You're right, that is ugly. In all honestly I've seen kids build Lego jets that had more personality than that thing.

I was at Target and TRU yesterday and I think the whole GL line of toys look horrible. Cheap, unimaginative, and down-right boring.
