lol I didn't notice this about gridman but hes still a good size figure and I guess they did it because of the add on armor coming. however my biggest gripe with him is his torso don't move at all for no explainable reason.
link is even bigger then tekkaman lol

I just received my Tekkaman figma, being my first purchase from amiami and my first figma. Unfortunately, it seems like the paint didnt try before attaching the top and bottom of the left shoulder so when I tried to open it, the entire thing came apart. I tried to contact amiami about getting a replacement part but all they could offer me is a stupid 200 yen refund. The only other option is the return the item and i'd rather not waste 20 dollars and a months time to get a refund on a 35 dollar figure. Does anyone know of a good way to glue a soft plastic to a hard plastic that will great a strong bond?

Did the shoulder break? Was it the red top cover that came off or the whole Red and White shoulder piece?

Does anyone know of a good way to glue a soft plastic to a hard plastic that will great a strong bond? Is the shoulder armor completely broken off at the hinge or is it a clean break and your able to glue it back? Sucks either way. I got my tekkaman this past week and I think it's a decent figure all around. The articulation in some spots like the shoulder takes some fiddling and getting used to, but I'm impressed the ankles tilt very well compared to some of the other figmas I have. I still like the armor plus for its size and weight, but this is a pretty decent rendition of tekkaman for an affordable cost. Now I kind of want to hunt down one of those soul spec Tekkaman and pegas sets to have the figma ride on top of pegas. ;D

Why? The Spec set comes with a Tekkaman Blade exactly to scale.

Nah, the Spec scale between Tekkaman Blade and Pegas are spot on. Pegas was pretty big in the anime, and bandai captured it perfectly. I'm also leaning towards the Spec Tekkaman design more that Figma's. For some reason, to me the Figma Tekkaman seems to have an almost "girly" figure. I don't know what it is, but that has been bothering me since I got it... }|

To each their own on scale, I still think the Bandai pegas is slightly too big for the tekkaman they made, but they probably had to do that in order to fit him inside.

One thing I am a little annoyed about is the insconstiancy of the cutting of the excess plastic and flash over tekkaman's body. For example on mine the right shoulder was neatly cut and clean while the left shoulder has chunks of excess plastic not cleaned properly or cut way too close to the plastic making some noticeable indentures in the plastic.

wasn't tekkaman supposed to be inside his robot in the show? I remember something like that.

pfft not that popular I guess and I have no intentions of getting one.
got evil tekkaman. just as good as tekkman and just as small of course. but these are some of the most articulated figmas to date just wish they were samas size is all. my right thruster peg seems to have been cut a bit short though, keeps falling off every time I touch it

I need to get me a Tekkaman Evil while he's still in stock at amiami!! Also sent in my preorder for Space Pirate Cobra. I love the stogie! XD Gonna be checking out the anime soon, as it's on my list of shows to watch with a good otaku pal of mine. Finally got a chance to crack open my Tekkaman Blade. Very nice figure, indeed! A few QC issues here and there, but nothing too crazy. I really love Max Factory's attention to detail. Also a really slick paint-job that doesn't show well on camera, but they gave the white a nice pearlescent finish. Really pays great homage and love to this old character. Kinda gives me hope that other classic anime characters will get a figma treatment. *AHEM*Blue Seed Kusanagi please! Here's a couple pics...

Did he have three forms? I sort of remember him in a powered up state even before the final episodes. It was like a two part episode which ended when he got almost cut in half...
