I won the Shinning Ultra Magnus and got my invoice via email. Does anyone know how I can make payment from overseas? Emailed them and awaiting reply.

My experience is that the good old credit cards work fine . -Personal checks may work in a pinch, but it would take ages for clearing and then shipping. Ed

I won one item too and have already paid with the CC on file. Just a personal thought... I am sure Ed has good intent to let other toy lovers to own a piece of their love, but the fees come out really scares me. I won one item for $100.00. Ok, I know there is a premium of 20% the buyers have to pay, $120, then S&H for $37.50. Wow, I thought they are shipped from Japan SAL.... My item isn't that big, a small DX Godaikin... almost $40 to ship? My bill came out $157.50. More than 50% more than my original bid. And sounds like it takes 1-2 weeks to ship... doesn't sound like a prompt service neither. I am hoping there is a better platform to sell these loveable item with less costs that the buyers do not carry the burden of all the costs. Rather than sharing the love among toy collectors, now it is more a good opportunity to make the 3rd party rich. I am new to Morphy's Auction, may be I am a cheapscape or not serious enough. I am sure (I hope) the collection is in marvelous condition. Sometime you get what you pay for. I am glad that I didn't win those big items... could have cost an arm and a leg to ship. Just my two cents, not complaining.

Well, its sounding like everyone is in the same range with shipping. I've bought from Morphy's twice before, and the shipping was always substantial then too. I suspect that they add a basic handling charge for packaging up the items safely enough to prevent damage, and that (expensive) cost is added to the actual shipping fee. This is standard, and I am sure it is the same with all auction houses. They understand the value of these items they auction and the need to protect them during shipping.

They may be including some form of insurance as well.

How fast do they ship? Info says 7-14 days. Does it really take that long to receive? Well, its sounding like everyone is in the same range with shipping. How fast do they ship? Info says 7-14 days. Does it really take that long to receive? I would say anywhere from a couple of days to two weeks if you are in the US. If you are international I would expect 1-2 weeks minimum. They process and ship a ton of items and do it carefully so everything will take a little extra time. It's not like ordering from amazon for example that could ship it to you in 1-5 days.

The invoice says "Shipping and Insurance" on the totals. So yes, everything is automatically insured for it's won value.
Mine is $32 for 4 items, including a couple mid DX sized boxes and two ST boxes, withing 3hr drive to lower NY.

Thanks for spotting that Jon and confirming. I really only looked at my invoice to make sure the winning prices with premium were correct and then paid. From experience, I just kind of figured that they had to be doing the insurance thing for us.

Hi, received my shinning magnus and have to say, the packaging was amazing. The box they packed it in was more than twice the size of magnu's box, box was well wrapped, cushioned and all.
As mentioned, the extra charges did add up to abit but I guess we can't have the best of everything.
Thanks Ed for my first AFA piece! Oh, the auction got a mention in Maz TFsource article.

"This was compounded by the categorically insane prices realised by the recent sale of a well known Japanese robot enthusiast’s collection through the Dan Morphy auction house in Denver."

Thank you Ed I also received my Flashking from your auction. It was quite the awesome collection you got there! I would have loved to see the results from some of the other collections I didn't bid on. I wonder which items got the highest amount of bids/price?

I kept calling with voice mail... how can I pay if they don't pick up the phone?
Updates: Finally someone picks up the phone... couldn't they do it online automatically? I mean, you have to put down your card info before you could bid anyway...
