The only hard part will be the face the rest is cake.. When the time comes for you to paint the face and the eyes, let me know. I can pull out my eyes and cut off my hands, and send them to you to paint those small parts. They work fine , just ask my MC Mazinger-Z model kit figure. Congrats on your new figs! zozo-mag

Well, right now ET is reissuing the Daiku Maryu (LODM version with Option Parts for LODM Gaiking). However, that one is not the same color as the 1970's anime version originally released. The original ET Gaiking is pretty much sold out, but the upcoming Gaiking The Great includes the parts to make the LODM Gaiking (not the original 1970's Gaiking). So, I guess that if someone is looking for the 1970's versions of the two, you could at a minimum, get what you paid for them back... since they are not available anymore. }D

Yeah, I agree on the face/head. It could've been a lot better. However, the body proportions are spot on with the 1972 anime. Reminds me a lot of the Bandai GX-01 Prototype that never saw the light of day. This is one Garage Kit that I will happily suffer putting it together! }D

Anyhow stay tuned HERE for my KINGDAN X-10 he will be done in the next hours or day... Mazinger Z (toie)always had a calm expression in his face rather than an angry one. However do note that the eyes where painted with a lot of black around it which is quite noticeable giving it this sad expression. But i have to say this one looks bad as in really bad in all overall. The shoulder designs are totally weird and really out of proportion making it look like there bigger than his own torso. The legs look way to skinny making his feet look way to big. And what is wrong with the drill missiles gimmick? that is atrocious. the only thing i would say is that at least they painted Mazinger Z's neckguard blue instead of grey which is actually part of the Toie version.

You got mad skills, Bro! Amazing job!!! As far as the Mazinger, besides the head and of course shoulders (due to articulation), it has all the right proportions. Mazinger Z was never a "big guy" robot. It was very human in shape. It definitely did not have huge rocket punch arms, or "beefy" lower legs, like Bandai portrayed it in its SRC/DX SOC renditions. However, it always had huge feet. Mazinger Z was basically supposed to look like a guy wearing a helmet. And the original Go Nagai Mazinger Z looked even skinnier... with big feet. }D

Those shoulders on him completely wrecked this figure for me.....it looks awful. Its real shame as i love everything else. The body, legs, and head proportion looks perfect. Im mad because Its so close. I hope they can adjust his "out of proportion super wide puffy shoulders" before the shipping date
Looks like its sharing same horrendous shoulders as T28 Go. upcoming Grendizer also has these same horrible shoulders. Yet Getter Dragon has normal sized ones? in fact There' re lot of ET figs with normal size shoulders....so WTH?

GGG no need to sweat it or worry about changes/relase dates sculpt etc,the Mazingers and the above Kingdan I painted are garage kits...like 3-400 each after mark up IF you can get them,.they are not painted or built. These are not main stream releases, they only make under 100 each in all the world, and are VERY VERY hard to get unless you know someone in Japan or have an inside source..They wont be changing anything as Great Mazinger is already released,I am lucky enough to have him..the Kingdan and the Great Mazinger cost me well over 6 bills for both. So unless your serious,I wouldnt sweat the sculpt, as probably there will be about 3, if that ,EVER in the USA.I know no one else who owns a Great Mazinger besides myself ,and only TMZ and I have the Kingdan.I also own the Z-Mazinger. They are for morons like me(Ill let TMZ speak for himself) that spend crazy money on resin and magnets, just because I got to own the character,or just because its rare, they made a few more including Reideen,a special version of Atlanger called Atlanger Ace,and his weird pal.Thats it.All are HIGHLY coveted by those who want them,or seen as what they are basically unobtainable overpriced garage kits ,BUT they are AWESOME nonetheless, and the 3 I own are all highlights of my collection.

Thats right. It is GK.... There no chance for me either way then. Did you see another Mazinger villain coming out as GK? Something U7... Too lazy to look up but. Its frustrating that all the cool villains are coming out as GK. All the villains look dead on perfect.
Atleast im def going to get Zaborgars. Both of them. Thats a gurantee purchase for me as they look spot on!

Yeah those are cool!! the other villain isnt one that I care for, which is rare,so wont be searching for it,unless it falls in my lap and I have the cash on hand..It is frustrating,I thought Id never have a chance at Kingdan but was patient sort of LOL and am super happy now. But you have to REALLY want them, def not impulse buys! Expensive, and you have to be able to paint,or you will ruin a 400$ resin kit! Im very happy how my Kingdan came out,but I was really careful..and Im also an artist so that helps..

But Its really cool we have so many artists and designers in this forum. I was in the art field but been off of it for awhile. Quite rusty now i guess lol.

Same issue with the anime at the time because of multiple team that work in the series. true he did have huge feet in both in manga and anime, however it can be said the same thing with smaller feet for both versions since he had them. also true about human proportions but also as well he show the more SRC/SoC/DXSoC proportions as well besides most of the time (if not the majority of the time) Mazinger Z has been portrayed with bulky rocket arms as well bulky lower legs which pretty much everyone portrays him as oppose to be human shape looking. This Mazinger Z outside of his head, his entire body is a total miss compare to Great Mazinger and Grendizer which they look much better.

Droutmaster, respectfully TMZ is teh biggest Mazinger fan I know,I tend to agree with him on this..but either way it really isnt that important of a release to be spending so much energy on LOL. BTW Toei type Mazinger figures are rare compared to Mazingers modern rendition,One thing I do love is the breast fire plates, closest Ive see to the anime.
