Okay, I have to take my last statement/post back. I went back to the same Toyrus to see if they have the MP-10 and perhaps some of them first edition prime figures and these Thundercrackers were all gone. So they aren't shelf Warmers at all.

Definitely not...yet. I have yet to see a MP TC on shelf in my area the past few weeks. Though I haven't been very aggressively look, as I am still on the fence if I should even get it or not. But I did stop by a few TRU when it was convinient, and the closest I have come across is seeing shelves actually have labels for MP TC & OP (all gone of course).

I suspect the recent 20% off coupon has something to do with it.
My local TRU has nothing but price tag

I finally bought one through TRU.com as they have had a massive restock both online and in stores. I paid $74.99 and did free shipping through "Pick-Up at Store" option.
I did notice that the stores in my area have cases of them now and although the price tag on the shelf still says $69.99, the actual scanned price of the toy is $86.99 (which is what made me order online then pick it up). Looks like these will flood TRU stores... at least in the Orange County, California area. I counted 3 sealed cases on the top shelf with 3 MP TC's already on the shelf. I'm happy because it allows everyone who wants one to get one.

Finally was able to score me a few MP Thundercrackers today had to drive a few hours to get them but they had about 10 instock. They had a spot for MP Prime too but it was sold out . They had a 30% off all TFs going on so I got them for about 47 bucks a pop.

No doubt great price. But I have to say, driving a few hours, I wouldn't have done it if there wasn't a 30% off coupon. I mean, unless you drive a electric hybrid, look at least 12$ to 15$ of gas in driving per hour. Just saying.

I just look at my billing rate at work and decided no drive is worth it. Pissed off that I missed the OP preorder at TRU.

Well my local tru must be rated at a 3rd world country level cause it never has anything but everything that doesn't sell and it never changes. So driving a total of 3 hours there and back on 90% highway speeds is totally worth it. Plus the 46 bucks I saved. This is still way cheaper then ebay bs prices. I'm happy and ill be driving back a few more times when they get more Mp primes in

Got my Thundercracker from TRU online. Too bad I couldn't use a coupon at the local store which never seems to have many Transformers in stock. I love this mold with its improvements. Nice metallic blue plastic throughout. I don't mind the tampo printed details which I actually prefer over stickers. With this figure, you don't have to worry so much about paint chipping during transformation which btw is fun, too. The design updates make the transformation less worrisome. With my Takara Skywarp, I fretted over cracking the plastic or at least the clearcoat by accident while transforming it.
