Okay where is a good place to buy one of these 2008 Yamato Danguard Aces? I want one and they are so high priced on Ebay, unless that is the cheapest? Any ideas my friends?

Mazinger hunting is right. Why was this so limited released? I also hear there are several versions, is that true? Of course I just want the original release with the cool metallic paint but are there others?

There are 3 versions. The normal, the metallic and the plated versions. There came a point wherein the normal was the hardest to find and only limited metallic or plated was readily available. I myself have the plated version. Now it looks like any one of them command a steep price. There is a thread on here somewhere discussing this.

its too bad they dont do a "scraper" version that is painted brown and is dirt cheap.

Hahaha Scraper version! Thats awesome! Now thats a great idea. Maybe they can make a strippie version of a Popy/Godaikin Tetsujin 28. It comes in flat grey and only costs $500 instead of the $3000 plus dollars. And includes no chrome, all the parts that would be chrome are black. Lol. Anyway I will still attempt to get the funds together to snag one of these Danguard Ace bots. They just look cool.

Even when I got my 2 versions{regular and plated} a ways back they were super hard to find, you gotta get lucky.Someone on the board eventually sells one.Thats how I got my normal one last year. The plated i got 3 years ago and then it was the only one you could find. The regular and metallic are very close in looks, teh plated chrome is totally different... The one thing not everyone knows is the plated chrome one comes with stickers,a bunch of them, you can see two on the wings below. The others come with no stickers.these toys are super full of diecast almost all dicast except for the hands and head pretty much.

When these first came out there was a ton of them and were pretty easy to find and had very reasonable prices, there was even three versions made so the chances of getting at least one was even greater. But this was a very popular release and with no re-issues the supply dried up and now prices reflect this since those who had no idea about this toy or want one now will now have to pay market value. Your guys best bet is to find a used one or hope Yamato re-issues this toy.

Nice! Cool to see the Plated and Normal versions side by side. Although I initially wanted the normal or metallic version but only was able to find a plated version, after a few months, I've grown to love it. ;D

I don't like the chrome because it is totally different from the character in the anime (color). Call me crazy but I always stick to anime accuracy as much as possible. }D

I must be insane too, but I strongly prefer the non plated or metallic version. Just wish it had magnetic attachments for the red triangles on the legs.

I guess never having heard of the anime til I saw the toy helps. Hehe! On mine, if I slide the red triangles/arrows just right, they stay in place.

I just need to find an extra $1400. I want this Danguard, a SOC Daltanious, Daimos, and a GX-44 Tetsujin 28, not to mention a large Matchbox SDF-1. Help, my list is growing but my money is not! Ha ha

I love the plated version because it reminds me of the vintage toy
