Wow. These look awesome. If they are in scale with MP-10 I might have to grab! Lucky for you they aren't in scale with MP10. Honestly, who cares in it is in scale or not in scale. Even if it is in scale, it still wouldn't look right next to MP10. This Breakdown has Modern design aesthetic, design to fit in the TF classics line. MP are about G1 cartoon design accuracy.

Hasbro should employ these designers NOW. There has been similar discussion about this. And the reasons people come up with is that Hasbro is a toy company first, and they market their products to Kids not collectors. So it isn't cost efficient for them to design toys of this nature. Hasbro and Takara have designers that can come up with these types of designs but are usually restricted by the amount of parts they can use etc... Example would be like the alternity line. That line never made it to the USA because at 50$ for a deluxe size toy, it just wouldn't sell well here in the USA. And if you look at the Alternity figures, they are just as good in their design and are more complex compared to these 3rd party stand alone figures.

True (and diecast production prices increase a LOT). Margin for FP is lower than Hasbro does, but it's necessary and inevitable to put collectors item on market. Here come the news : I AM IN 400% ! ! ! Dragstrip & Deadend :

Thanks for linking the pictures. It was hard trying to view them over at tfw2005. Rumor has it these will be release as two packs. I am really liking the individual robots and the car modes. So far, FP hasn't reveal how these Stunticons are going to combine, nor have they showed us specific transformations into arm or leg parts. Only thing I can think of is that they will use some kind of a tray type locking system so that each one of these vehicle can either be a leg part or arm.

These pictures are coming from fansproject.com Swapping positions for arms/legs is a nice feature, but I am still veeeeery curious about Motormaster. For sure this one will be a massive hit making Classic line so unique now. A single Causality figure is USD 44.90 - 49.90, means a Menasor full set around USD 300... (OUCH, I need 2 of these... Anyone want to buy a Hercules set ?) I noticed hands are same mold as Causality Insecticons (save money). I like those : dynamic and work with or without weapon. It's better than a cube shapped hand with a hole in it. Edit : I just had a look on www.elljay-hobby-collection.com/I found another pose : Why this guy got this in advance ? FP connection ? GRRR... I am on the starting blocks to get this combiner (and other Function-X). (too mad to have my G1 Menasor stolen by someone when I awas kid)...

Well, since I only have no other Transformers in my collection that are not in scale with MP-10 I have kind of kept my mindset on collecting in scale with him. These look awesome though hence me asking if they were.

I'm still a little fuzzy on how big this guys are... On the one hand, I'm happy to see all these different 3rd party groups doing different combiners, but on another, I'm a bit disappointed they each look so different. In my mind Superion and Menasor will always be rivals - they were the first Scramble City sets out of the gate before Bruticus and Defensor. So to me, they should be roughly the same size toys.

Yeah me too but it seems that the TFC Devastator, Superion, and Mastermind Predaking will be around the same size and will be the largest. The Maketoy Devastator and their possible Computron are next and will most likely be around the same size. I'm guessing the FP Menasor will be the smallest but there's no evidence yet as is the same with the Unique Toys Predaking there's not enough info to know how large he will be.

Since these are part of the Causality line, it will be likely that they are scaled similarly to the FP crossfire set 1 and 2. Not sure why this set isn't called Crossfire 3 instead. The individual bots are pretty small, they had them next to the FP insecticon repaints, so they are deluxe like size, unlike the TFC figures which are more Voyager size. Also unlike TFC Superion which the characters have specific arms or leg transformation, this Menasor doesnt look like it will be like that. I still believe FP is gonna make these connect in a way where you can use any one of the vehicle as either a arm or a leg part. Beside that FP reputation is a lot stronger than any of the other 3rd party group. So they aren't going to scale their stuff to match those other company.

Imo, it will match Maketoys Giant... So, they will not come in a bundle of 2 :
