Got mine yesterday. Was surprised by the cute tiny box. Really solid figure. The locking in plane-thing mode is super hard.

Sorry, meant "super hard" as in "solid as a rock". The locking works really well.

I guarantee some of you guys liek myself, looked down this thing from nosecone down like a rifle, and saw how crooked you snapped it together! You really need to have the legs turned in a symetrical way to get the black belt part to look straight and parallell with the rest of teh ship.Once you get it its good.

man baron that a nice collection, hell that shinning one looks really sweet and at same time must be annoying to clean it up since is a finger print magnet XD Thanks Droutmaster! BTW I dont touch my robots bare handed,I use rubber gloves.I highly recommend doing this ,as oils cause problems with paint etc.Its a good habit to get into. Guys get a box, they are about 6 to 10$ a box for latex gloves, the kind Drs. or tattoo artists use, they are worth every penny. All the $ we invest on robots,we should try and keep them very clean of oils from our paws.If this helps one guy here to do this,Ive helped someone and I feel good about it,as well as our diecast friends!!

I got those spiffy SOC white gloves with one of my Mazinger pre orders. They are nice for handling robots. Amazingly my giant hands even fit in them.

LOL... my SOC White Gloves aren't white anymore. I started using them to keep the figures fingerprint-free for photos. They didn't stay white for long after that! }D

I got mines on Wednesday but didn't have time to play with it until today. Transformed it once. Tried all the accessories, landing gears etc... Mines seem to disconnect rather easily (upper torso and the mid and lower leg sections). The little piece of paper had a warning to press the button on the back to disconnect but the tabs are rather small and it isn't that tight of a fit. I hear the click but it still fall off pretty easily. My suggestion is not to hold Danguard by the upper torso. The lower part of body is pretty heavy. It has been a while since I last purchased a SoC and is pretty happy with this one. Kinda of forgot how heavy SoC's are. One thing I would of like is if they allow for a wider range of upper thigh swivel. I mean it barely moves, maybe around 30 degrees of movements. The hips can move side to side, forward to back no problem but no knee swivel and small range of motion on the upper thigh makes it hard to get the figure into better poses. I guess It's kinda meant to be looked at facing forward. On a side note, the ankle articulation is really good allowing for wide stances and being able to stay flat footed. Here it is with the rest of my SoC that I am displaying.

I also had negative experience with them and thanks Paypal for getting full refund from them. It's just a bunch of irresponsible people working there....I would not even buy an eraser from NY in the future. Well, I just got a tracking number from them (ems) so all hope is not lost. We'll see what happens in the next few days... Just hoping on the topic about NY. For pre-orders they send out a payment notice about 2 weeks before item release. I made payment. 1 week after item is released, no delivery. I emailed them on July 31 and they said they will send out by end of the weeek (August 2) No tracking on August 2. Emailed them on Monday August 5. They said will send out on that day. Still no notification by evening. Next morning August 6, I called their main line. Customer service was friendly and helpful and said shipping department forgot to send notice to the admin dept. Less than 10 minutes later, I get my tracking number. My 1st order with NY 2 months ago was a good first experience. Shipping notice given on the day of payment. This time was not so pleasant. I give them some benefit of doubt that they are swamped perhaps. In any case, I have a lot of pre-order from them till end of the year. I hope they improve on their delivery service. In the worst situation, I will just call them to make sure they act on it immediately. Good thing I am in Asia and they are only 2 hours ahead my time.

Keep an eye on it,they then apologized and shippesd fedex it came teh next day.My opinion is Do not order a popular figure from them,IF you will stay with them. With teh surgance of all of us ordering from them because of good early opinions, they indeed got swamped AND maybe had to backorder.

I am not defending them. I for one am quite impatient when it comes to having my stuffs delivered. I pay on time and I expect quick service to prepare and send out the items by ems, which is what I always choose cos in Asia ems is surprisingly cheaper at times or just slightly more expensive than SAL.
NY is not my first choice but when the likes of amiami is sold out, I don't have much of a choice. I don't like anime export cos I am not comfortable with paying upfront for something that is released months later. It makes it hard for credit card or Paypal disputes. HLJ is usually more expensive and hobby search sells out quite fast too.
So for now I'm going with NY as my second choice after amiami. And honestly with ami selling out so fast and limiting certain items to Japan residents only, I can say that my current purchase amount is 80% NY and 20% ami. Just too bad for ami.

Yeah, i hate paying upfront for preorders, maybe a small deposit, but definitly not in full. NY imo is still the best online option for me after amiami, even though recently they forgot to send me a payment request for my danguard ace, causing me to miss the order but overall, they still get a lot of other areas right for me, so i can defiitly live with them at the moment

Charles I diodnt think you were defending them at all.I agree with EVERYTHING you said, besides ordering from them again.I usually only order IN STOCK items from AE,unless its under 150$.If they had a no pay preorder policy they would have ALL the business, well mine anyhow.AmiAmi is great too,BUT when it comes to personal communication and returns, forget it!
