Perfect Grendizer? One can only dream right? Till then I can only drool over this custom and hope one day somebody will get it right. Once we get some action poses of the actually finished product we all may change our tunes about this figure. I cant wait to see this bad boy in action.

Yeap. I've always seen that custom as the perfect Grendizer. Sad that is takes a faithful fan to make it happen and a powerful company like Bandai just can't get it right. }D

I like the scuplt much better than the Metaltech so far, glad I waited to get this one and to see Bandai finally returning to the classic super robots in this line. Even the head looks better than the MT-01's revised one to me. It'll be interesting to see if the articulation finally makes it able to do all the crazy poses no Grendy toy rendition was able to pull off to this day!

That's right, thanks Chen. Actually I wasn't aware there was another version of MT-01 coming, thanks for the info, that's great news btw!
edit : there are no official news, no prototype for a new MT-01 to be found yet, only hearsay in this forum... wait and see, but I won't hold my breath ^^

Every release announced is a pure super robot. The 2 sentai bots are total win for me as well. Really happy even if my wallet won't be. As for articulation. Well, it is an SRC. That means awesome articulation.

"we are totally re-working the MT01. we dont know yet if it will be compatible with the old Spazer yet, we want to use our new articulation system.." see, Jin Jin has these sliding covers over its hip joints that hide the joint from view.. they want to do that kind of stuff on a all new MT01 but Im sure youre looking at a 6 month min wait until it hits the street and Im sure its gonna be a bit more than the old MT01 but Im not sure.. but the converstaion is still up on facebook under the comments on Jin Jin

I like this bulky-wulky Grendy... looks beefy-weefy. ;D
But, seriously, I Thought the SRC figures were just supposed to be slightly smaller renditions of the SOCs...... ...so then.... just HOW on Earth could this SRC Grendy be as (or even MORE) big (or BIGGER than) the SOC Grendizer??? I can't believe my eyes looking at that pic, he looks a lot bigger than the GX-04 there... it sends the GX-04 running back home cryin to momma, really! I'm just buggin out seeing this right now. lol
If anything else, I'm glad to see Grendizer make it into the SRC line, alongside Mazinger-Z... ...so, now TheMazingerZ and Dammage7 can have miniature SOC-like counterparts for their Toys-In-Action feuds. ;D

I like it a lot I just wish they angled the shoulder blades in more to the center of the chest. But next to the SRC Mazinger and Great Mazinger, Grendizer will suitably look more "powerful" like a bodybuilder next to a average guy. Polarizing I know but at least we're getting different versions at different price points which should satisfy most fans.

If I get it, it will not be displayed next to the SRC Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. I'll keep the Metaltech Grendizer for that (really looking forward to the upcoming version 2), as it is a better fit for the trio. This Grendizer will most likely be displayed with the Shin Mazinger, since they both have the same Ken Ishikawa style sculpts anyway. Just like those fixed posed statues floating around.

TMZ. Yeah, I can see that. In fact, that is good thinking because I was just thinking how I was going to display my Metaltech one once this guy comes out. I like the idea of splitting them up based on the sculpt style. Though, as we established in other conversations, I kind of like my robots to be and bodybuilder like. ;-)
